now in the last two years me or my housemates have been involved in the following;
victim of mugging
witness to a mugging (seperate to above)
victim of burglary
victim to hit and run (car hitting housemate on bike)
theft of propert (3 bikes)
intimidation by bouncers, cab drivers and our landlord
and yet, tonight my housemate was sick in a club, without needed bouncers urging i took her outside and sat outside, after a while i decided she wasnt going to be sick, we got her into a cab and asked the guy to take us home, he refuses claiming the cab in front of him (who we had ignored as he was in deep conversation with a bunch of other people from the club and still was) was in front of him in que, so fair enough we leave the cab expressing our annoyance at having to get out again (along the lines of "fuck sake, alright nevermind we'll get out), my drunken sickly house mates shouts at him abit (as drunk people do), as i then carry away my drunken housemate he pulls away my other housemate (a 5ft tall timid girl as opposed to me a 6ft 7 slightly pissed off guy) and starts abusing her calling her a c*nt and such crap before a talking to a bouncer who then comes over to us and try to persuade us to pay the cabby £40 for damages, which ofc was a load of cra, so we then decide to walk her home, a little while after that we realise this cab driver is following us, a bit freaked out we pick up the pace until we are stopped by the police, 4 officers in total, who claim they have recieved a report from this cab driver that we have damaged his car, now me and my two housemates are standing on the pavement freezing our asses off with the threat of one girl being arrested for criminal damage until she sobers up, they then try and put me and the other housemate off by claiming she wouldnt get seen to until noon the next day and we would have to make our own way there and it would be a waste of our time so it would be easier to make a deal with the cab driver without them having to make an arrest!
personally i was furious at this point when the girls boyfriend turns up and i accept his decision to deal with police and cab driver on his own as he is at least a bit more sober than i was at this moment, not sure what got sorted but we were allowed to take her home on the condition we gave our names and address to police (they only checked one of our ID's despite us being students and technically having 3 different addresses on our driving licences different from the address we stated!) for further investigation...
so incase you havent guessed im a bit pissed of at the fact the police did aboslutely bugger all when i got mugged, they then turned the tables and investigated my housemate for 10 hours when she was a WITNESS to a mugging, we then got an answer phone on 999 about our burglary which they then took 3 days to respond to by which point any evidence of the burglars going through back garden through neighbours was washed away by the rain, my housemate then got hit while biking by a car who drove off then at high speed, despite it being the most CCTV covered street in the city they never found the guy who did that either, we have had 3 of our bikes stolen from various places in the city and to be honest they are quite recognizable bikes, one had blue pedals a zebra seat, pink stunt pedals, red handlebar covers and a spiderman mirror for goodness sake and they havent been able to find any of them either! our landlord tried to stop us making an insurance claim for our burglary to stop their premiums going up and police did fuck all about that, we've had cab drivers following us, bouncers telling us to pay up or else and yet the moment my drunken housemate makes an off hand comment about a cab driver we get bloody accosted at 3am by 4 police officers and the cab driver and threatened with arrest and a criminal record?!?! absolute fucking joke!!!!!!! </rant>
