USB not working, help please!!!!

Have had PCI USB listed in my hardware manager for months now under unknown devices with a yellow question mark next to.
Just bought USB mouse and so thought I would remove PCI USB and then hopefully windows would auto find and reinstall drivers for.
Unfortunately I was asked for disk with drivers for, but when I put in win 95 disk (USB compat'.) I was given the message no drivers found????!!!!
I am now the proud owner of one unknown device/PCI USB with a yellow question mark one side accompanied by a black exclamation mark in a yellow triangle!!!
I have tried my disk that came with my motherboard (Abit BX6 r2) but still no joy??
Would be most grateful if someone could help me with this as I am a bit stuck.

BOLLOX to them all
i got a win95 cd with full usb support on , it works perfectly fine too
but it was only 2 months old when win98 came out
