us servers

hi all, im getting a little bored on the english servers with my char and think im gonna have a go at the us ones, ill get hold of an account no probs but b4 i go to the effort i jst wanted an opinion,
how good is my ping/lag likely to be with ISDN and does the time difference really affect things badly?

I was same as euro on my ntl 56k

Some of the servers are better than others but be warned RvR can happen at someo pretty odd times thanks to the time difference

I used to play over there for 3-4months, much more stable servers, but i think the ping was a tiny bit higher. Though, i played an infiltrator so the ping is pretty important due to PA etc, but it worked pretty well.

It should work out well for you, try MLF if u want some ppl online during EU's primetime. Lots of europeans and asians, friendly aswell. Good luck !

ok so if i got a us cd key how do i get an account and if i get a us account how do i pay, etc and patch my comp o it works?

You just need to get the US update.dat and paste that over the information in your current update.dat.
It should download a patch the - and you will be taken to the American server screen.

I'm on dsl and the connection is pretty much the same as the euro servers.

I was on USA servers before I moved here at Euro release.

Also had an level 12 Paladin in USA Beta ;].


Pellinor servr RVR was en masse. 3 way zergs were constantly fighting over DC. It wasnt zerging from AMG - MMG etc.....it was hibs holed up in DC.....with the other 2 relams fightign in lumps right outside.....and hibs charging down to 'help' at innoportune moments ;o.

Was kinda fun....but at silly silly times of the night sometimes ;[.

Then due to Mythic not being GOA boneheads after you have patched just hit new account,This opens a window(not a web site that requires your mums shoe size and a decoded message from the aztecs written in old germanic) This window lets you do all the account details ( cc etc). Its so simple its obvious why GOA dont use it....because its too simple :/


And I hope you a re prepared for proper support? It maybe a shock at first but you eventually get over it it

Well I went the other way. Spent a year or so on the US servers but I found that the time difference was a killer. To do anything meaningful means staying up all night and most people don't take you too seriously as they think you're a casual player.

The lag is no different from what i've seen so far and the populations on most servers are lower than in the UK.

Enjoy your time over there but just be aware that its no bed of roses for a Euro player.

well one thing I hate about europe servers is the fact we only got 2 real english servers so I havent been able to test Hibernia yet.
