I am thinking about joining Hibs on the classic US server (bossiney cluster ?). Are there any UK based guilds recruiting there ?

As far as patching to the US servers, are the following corrects:

I know very little about either the FG, PUG or siege scene

I havent grouped at all on my toons and tend to play on the island with other solo'ers or take runs to the main mid/alb bridges looking for fights

if you like to solo there is quite a healthy solo scene during EU hours
sure, you will get rolled from time to time around bridges, but teh solo zone on the island and the bridges to teh island are great places to find fights for solo visables

if you do roll hib, PM me on one of the chars in my sig and i'll throw some plat your way

I think guilds like Dirty bingo Callers are all ex dyvet players

Yep, we were Insurgence on Mid and Alb Dyvet, but unfortunatly were a bit unactive atm! I think that GW reloaded are Eu peeps, but they mighnt be, v. nice ppl tho! as for classes if your going hib id suddgest a champ (there very good there, debuffs scale to ppls buff pots etc so thats not too opt, but the s/c buff i find very handy). If you wanna level fast and be the poon in RvR a Vamp will work well for you, otherwise roll whatever the fcuk you want, the buty about the server is that no matter what class you have you will get groups fairly handly for leveling, and then you have made friends to RvR with later!

My general guide to leveling would to go to the RvR dungions till 10 (the lowbi ones that give you armor) then battlegrounds all the way... ~you get double exp in all RvR zones and you will laugh when you see pimped ppl in the level 5-9 dungion killing peeps, everywhere is active!

Just started on Mid myself now as a Skald with a mate playing valk and were enjoying leveling! 29 so far (3 days of casual playing in the BG's - not 3 days /played but over 3 days of a few hours) and loving it, will soon be 35 for molvik (VERY populated here) then its a fairly easy grind to 50 with all of the quests etc.

Anyhows - welcome to US servers, and if you see Amayar the luri champ or
Naremi the NS out there give me a buzz and ill try help

Wouldn't suggest mid, their active RvR population is far higher than the other two realms. Hib and Alb are supposedly +- balanced in numbers, but I see more Hibs than Albs, perhaps that's just perception.

I seem to be killing lots of folks with 100% left recently
heal proc shield
omni-hot vest
omni-proc sword
greater health myth
20% heal bonus in template

throw in champ debuffs and shield and it's kinda sick what a RR3 toon with good equipment can do in teh hands of a useless player like me
even to rr9 and 10 opponents

they really need to nerf shield

but PD5 melee tics
thanes with slam then ST then slam whilst ragnaroking
and celerity charge reavers
all murder me tbh

and sword in board aint much use against most casters
especially all those high PD BD's running around

and (few and far between) smite clerics with snare procs
and the new improved shamans all kill me
I wish I had charge tbh
