This is a plee to anyone that can help.
Who has heard of Hellpig (aka Warpig)? 20 minutes ago i found him on the pc format TFC server, he did not tell me it was him, i just kne wit was him. it turns out i was right as he crashed mine and anyones HL that was opposed to him on the server. this included -=GHU=- Bagpuss. now those of you who don't know anything about him then i'll just say he is trying to destroy clan GHU. now it seems he wants to destroy me too, due to my outright opposition to his methods. now i want to know who has info on him/what we can do to stop him or who we can contact for help (he has also been trying to hack into my clan members computers). he has told us that he has an unknown isp and a router. but he may be lying out his arse. in any case we have his home address (we think), his WON id, and 2 different IP addresses he has posted on our forum with. to see the forums click here;

First of all download a firewall:

www.zonealarm.com is free and does the job, get all your clan members to download this. That will stop any hacking into clans computers.

As far as his IP is concerened, when he is scanning your computer zonelarm will give you his IP, keep recording these, then got to a site that gives details about IP addresses. All you have to do then is send an email to the isp he is on and they'll take necassary action.

well we all have firewalls now. but apparantly he has a router (which changes his ip everytime he connects) so it'll be hard to track him. but he could be lying out his arse. i have his WON id (478848) but i have no idea what to do with it. BW is there any way you can ban him??

Send it to SAS whos email is sas@barrysworld.com but you'll need proof.

A router will simply route the IP address provided dynamically by his ISP.

Do everything ? says and you'll be fine. (I use ZoneAlarm too and found it to be excellent.)

that doesn't help much, how can i get proof of his behaviour (what classes as proof) kornholio piss off, this is serious. he crashed my computer twice before i got the firewall. i have bout 4 people that will backup the story, as their HLs were crashed too.

Rephrase the question / statement into something intelligible and try to make yourself sound like a normal person. Right now you just sound like a whining little kiddie and most whining little kiddies get ignored or slapped down by their parents.

Which is exactly what happened here.

Just use a bit of common sense mate and you'll be fine. Type like a three year old and you'll get flamed no matter what you post.

It seems so far we have established that he can prevent further attacks but what he would like to know is if hellpig can be disciplined in some way.

From this it would appear once you have the appropriate software installed you can capture hellpig's IP address and track it down (In DOS.... tracert XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX ) and inform the ISP he is using that you're being abused by one of their subscribers. Then it is in their hands to do something about it.

If you catch him messing up the servers again, try to get some proof of what he is doing and inform the admins immediately. The proof is very important. Lots of demos and screen captures.

Simple really.

OK - Firewalls will at least stop most of your problems. I guess there probably are ways around them, though ZoneAlarm (which I use) works very simply so it would be tough I think.

I can't help much with his crashing antics, nor his attitude towards you or your clan, other than to suggest that you stop acting like an agressor, or aggressive victim.

As with all playground squabbles it can be resolved clamly.
1) Use Firewall.
2) Log onto servers in his presence recording demos
3) Say nothing to him - especially not: "I am recording a demo of you and I'm going to 0wn your ass with it!!!1111" or words to that effect.
4) Should soemthing happen (like your HL crashing or whatever) you can keep an eye on it.

Send complaint to server admins and offer a web link to the demo (don't email it to them, it'll probably get filtered out or piss them off).

Also, make sure your firewall records logs so you can keep track of all the IP addresses that get blocked out. ZoneAlarm does periodically block out a few from mine but if you keep the log you can check for a common ISP and address complaints - offering a link to your log (dont cut bits out or anything like that, just put a helpful mark next to their IP address an that).

In the unlikely event of his mate running the ISP there is I believe a watchdog for ISPs? Or maybe even Oftel.
At the least he must rent the line from somebody who can be traced.
In the event of that, complain to the supplier and point out that the ISP is being used for heavy illegal activity.
Erm, you can probably threaten the supplier with legal action too to speed the whole thing up, but I'd recommend consulting a lawyer about that, as I am an A level computing student, not a lawyer.

Hope that helps you out and gives you some ideas on action to pursue. Just remember, don't be an aggressor or else he has something to fight back with and makes you case, and the process of sorting it out more difficult and agrevating.
