Urgent - Need to know this

I need to know how long you have to wait before you can report a person missing.

I've been on hold to the local police Comms Centre for 30 fking minutes. If anyone has an idea please let me know thanks.

Get the police onto it, though for some reason I have 'a week' in my head.. One of my friends ran away a few months ago but I can't actually remember the timescales..

I believe its 24 hours (although it was a long time since I did this) but I believe if you have real reason for concern and can illustrate or explain this well then they will help before, but not formally file it as a missing person until after that time.

Depends on age i think, 24 hrs if young (no idea how) and something else for older people.

Thats in my head for some reason may not be gospel

AFAIK what the others just said is about right. i.e. 24 hrs unless there's special circumstances.
