mmm went to one interview but and i just got asked about myself, why i would like to go to the uni in question, what part of the course i enjoy, and what ive done thats relevant to the course (both academic and extra ;) )

for example if your favourite part of ancient history is roman architecture, make sure you know what you are talking about ;)

Be yourself, polite etc as per usual, look presentable etc.

Also have some questions to ask them aswel as them asking you questions, which shows you are not nervous and dont just agree etc with them.

As you first said, and also the second poster described, they probs will ask you questions about the subjects, so do some revision / research too :)

ofc i never been to one, just had some experience with interviews

just wear casual but smart clothes hehe

though you might impress them if you turn up in a suit ;)

(but will probably make alot of the other interviewee's quite nervous if they havent dressed similarly)

tbh, i'd dress casual but not casual with your trainers a cap etc, common sense really, but also try to look smart. They're looking at you for alot of things, what your interested in etc, and your appearence is probably one of them ;)

Even tho i've never actually qualified for uni !

on a more serious note.. I would wear a pair of jeans, a nice shirt, either in the pants, or out dont really matter, and a pair of nice shoes.. thats very casual to me.. or take my first advice, and come in a dress!

Try to be confident and answer questions without stumbling etc. Try practicing a few questions, the more confident you are the more you can lead the questions in your favour.

Read your personal statement over and make sure you know it off by heart and can add to points you made in it. (So they know you didn't blag)

Have a few questions you would like to ask them, or if they cover everything and you can't think of any, say that you feel that they have covered everything you need to know.

Work experience shows interest in the subject and its something that lecturer’s really look for. Be enthusiastic.

Interviewers do this as a job; they interview people over and over, try to stick out but not in a bad way.

Don’t get wasted or stoned or whatever the night before, make sure you get a good night sleep.

Most of all try to have fun, or at least enjoy the experience.

Appearance, manners, confidence, enthusiasm.

Most people i know just wore smart casual (nice pants, nice shirt / t shirt and smart shoes) but then it all depands on the subject, wear clothes that you comfortable in, if you don't like wearing a suit don't (unless they tell you too).

The only advice I have is "If you fail to prepare, prepare to fail".

I'd personally wear a suit.

As has been said, prepare lots, read through your CV/Ucas form lots beforehand and try to anticipate the questions they'll ask on it.

Ie you said "I went walking in ecuador" they ask, "where do you go, what did you see, how does this help you in civilisation"
be confident, but not rude or arrogant.

Its better to say nothing for 15 seconds while you think of a decent answer to a question than to start speaking as soon as they ask it and mess up :p
