Underhill Ally

Been playing a chanter here (lvl17), and have the ability to summon the Underhill Ally. Now, what I can't figure out, is how the health regen it casts works. It doesn't seem to regen my health any faster than if I didn't have the buff.

Anyone care to enlighten me on what should happen?

Thanks :)

This pet only heals when your health is less then 25% and when it's not in melee. And it casts a spell with improves your regen a bit.

I used this pet often in groups, set in on passive and it did save some peeps who where about to die sometimes.

But like almost all pets i think this one is a little bugged too cause i have seen people dying without getting any health regen from my pet that was just standing still doing nothing :D

I found the ally utterly useless...

Like it was gonna save me from anything when i got 25% hp's left?? after all it IS supposed to be a healer pet.. sure its not supposed to be in the same class as a druid but comon.. if ur getting attacked by anything higher then a greencon and have 25% hp left u die in next hit... and theres nothing that darn pet can do to stop it.. not only does the heal take to long to cast.. the damn pet dont run fast enough to start hitting.. the only pet ive found useful are the Companion i got at lvl 7...
not even the compatriot are any good if ur being chased... Compatriot are good in controlled situations but thats about it.. if u get aggro none of the tank pets will catch the mob hitting u if u sprint.. coz it runs EXACTLY the same speed as the mobs do, so atm i only use the caster pet cos then i KNOW it will atleast start to cast at the mob.. and 99.9% of the times it gets aggro for it...

Well, the ally did save me butt in quite a few occasions. And in some, it just enjoyed watching me die :p
The response to this, i guess, is the high casting time of the healing. Its not insta, so it takes abot 2.5, 3 or even more seconds to cast. Obviously a solo chanter is long dead before it finishes casting.

But lets no argue abut our pets... enemies are whinig about our zealot and comanion for a whole while now and it seems Mythic began to share many of our abilities with the other realms, (pbaoe, end regen). And still they whine cuz they have no ideea how to use them :p

I have found that the ally is GREAT sometimes in groups. we where once 3 chanters that all had summoned an ally each. First the main tank got hit so druid started to heal him. then our warden got doubble hited or something and had like 1% hp left. all three pets started to heal the poor warden that we thought was lost but they managed to fullheal him.

Only problem is that the heal has a rather long cast time...

And some say that the pet drains mana from your pool. but I have never seen my manabar go down even a bit when a pet have casted so it's other wrong or so little that atleast I don't notice.

My conclusions is:

Ally on passive and follow when grouped.

Companion (tankpet if spelled wrong) when soloing

Zealot/Companion/Compatriot for RvR depending on your lvl and what you wanna do with the pet.

Actually thye Ally is ok with the health regen if in group, but never use him in solo use. Use compatriot or companion..

I tend to use companion more and more now, i attack with pet, then cast heat debuff and qc stun then my pet do more damage :) And then i just stun again and again.. when the mob comes to melee my companion i start casting light spells.

Works fine if the mob is a slow hit'er :) Or else i use compatriot which tanks well enough. do damage shield for a while and then start healing pet and then kill mob.
