only an in-experienced "young" gamer would say something like that. Those that have been gaming for 10-15 years will know that some of the best games ever had possibly the worst graphics ever as well.

Yes nice "eye candy" can be well nice. But what use is fancy graphics if the game play is completely shite.

Game play means everything, graphics mean nothing for me.

Looks nice so far, you want to see pants GFX, look thru these forums for the original DaoC GFX, when we all looked rather 2D :)

I dont think they have fully taken into account all variables here. Like how bad the game will have to look for a top of the range PC to display that many character models. Let alone how much bandwidth you will need to receive all the updates. It will be like castle sauv 24/7 :p

Oh well, heres hoping it will work, might be fun. Dont see how anyone buying the game could bitch about zerging tho :D

I kinda like the concept of having all of their playerbase on a single server, that said i can't really see myself playing it (though the name sounds cool)

looks nice, however this kinda sucks:

What will the system requirements for Wish be?
You will need at least a Pentium 4 with 2.4 GHz (or an Athlon equivalent) running Windows XP, with 512MB of memory and 2GB of free disk space. You also need a high-end graphics card, at a minimum a GeForce 4 Ti or Radeon 9700 with 64MB. As for sound, we recommend a 5.1 surround sound card, but simpler sound cards will work as well (although are less immersive).

Wish defines a new category of fantasy MMORPG, which we call "Ultra Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game" (UMMORPG). Unlike existing MMORPGs that confine players to a server with only a few hundred other players, Wish's highly-scalable server cluster infrastructure allows us to support tens of thousands of simultaneous players in a single shared world.

Ultimate = Done allready?

EVE has this. EVE noticed that 200 players in one system is bad. So will these guys.

It's not ultimate, it's wishful thinking.

Wish is still in the 'fecking ridiculous promises that clearly will never be fulfilled' stage of development.

For example...

They claim to have an RvR setup, but without the safe home realms. Oh, and the current design says you can raid an enemy town, kill everyone, loot corpses, and camp the bind spot.

So clearly this is rather too early to have a solid idea of what the real game will be like, because the current design says "it'll be like daoc pvp servers, only designed to encourage a greater degree of griefing".

/ignore until the concept is under control imo.

Also, they are putting out press releases which say this...

Seriously, if anyone thinks that technical design is remotely relevant to the customer base, then they need their head read.

Unfortunately Wish looks to me far too much like a techno-geek's pet project. I don't care about server clusters, or even how many players per server, until you can tell me what that is going to do for me.
