I'm a n00b to Q3A and I'm just wondering what patch I need for Q3A? Is it 3.1??? Not sure..

Ahhh, thats D/L'ing from an FTP, for some reason I can't download anything from FTP sites...Any other options ??

Unfortunately I am at work and so firewalled from most things now. Try going to Google and search on
quake3 1.31 mirrors
You should find an http mirror site somewhere.
Alternatively, go here and get CuteFTP, which is an ftp program. It might solve your ftp problems ........ depending on what the problem is.

aka, one of the firewalled sites.
Only update if when you try to connect to your favourite servers, you get a message about the serving using protocol 67.
Also, apparently, the only new file in the whole download weighs in at 750k and can be grabbed here, saving the large download. It would seem to be ok, but don't quote me on it

Oh, as for FTP not working, if you mean directory listsings fail and you can't get anything, but you CAN login, try toggling the 'passive mode' (PASV) option in your FTP client.
