Ultimate Boot CD

I dont know if anyone has seen this Ultimate Boot CD v2.31 before, but I'd recommend it as a good addition to any pc tool-kit.

It includes a lot of usefull stuff, boot images for both linux & windows... various drive & mem checkers etc, all sorts of usefull hacking stuff.

Obviously its only any good if the machine you are working on can boot from CD... but for newer machines got to be worth the cost of a CDR...

My boot-tool of choice is currently Flash Puppy, a complete linux distro on a USB key. They've added support for NTFS so it's just a matter of plugging it in and selecting from the BIOS boot and I'm able to recover any data from an NTFS partition before reformatting. Wizard.
