Whilst I won't rule out a disgruntled employee on the inside, some telephone exchanges are horrendously easy to hack if you know the right buttons to press. Remote recording an obscene message is the least of what they could have done. He could have routed people's calls to a premium rate number or to the MD's phone or something.

It'll be an employee. The 'hacker' story is a load of crap, a hacker could do far more entertaining things.

yeh probably an employee. where i work there is a full set of instructions, including pin numbers etc so you change the recording on the IVR :eek:

It was on the radio just now. Kind of reminds me of the mad Geordie bloke screaming at the BT guy not to phone him again :)
