Two Issues

Ok,

last night while playing one of the BarrysWorld CTF EF servers, it stalled after one of the games completed and did the re-do of the final screen where the game then hangs for 90 seconds before cycling again to the next map. I have had this issue before since being admin at OLA. It is a miss named map in your rotation config. Please fix this, this is very annoying and many people drop cause they do not like waiting more than 30 seconds for the next game.

Issue #2. Why do the admin f*k with the default gravity setting on EF? You really limit the paths available on maps by restricting this. With Q3A, Rocket Jumps are strongly used in both games and match play. With EF, Photon gun can produce the same type of jump. Many map designers put places in where jumps are required to reach special item(s) or even provide more paths for CTF players.

Map name?

Well,

If I had a copy of your config I could tell you the map name in error. The call for the map name is never reported to the client until after the server begins the load of the next game. This is only found on the log of the server running the config. Later tonight I can try to run on your servers and try to find after which map it errors, plus which server it was on. Sorry I did not have the details here at work with me.

As for the gravity, it does not seem normaly but I will retest again tonight on my servers and yours. I have a Rocket Jump bind that works on other servers but not on Barrysworld servers. I will recheck it again and see what the issue could be.

As promised.......

Ok,

First off, gravity. Yes your are setup for default. The ones I ran into are setup for 320 and have just got used to it. It allows for higher RJ's and ability to make some maps funner like spyglass. Sorry.

As for rotation issue. Found this out too. While playing Barrysworld CTF(3) I came accross it. It happens at the end of CTF_SPYGLASS map. The next map after the re-do of the ending is then Sea Temple or CTF_AND1. The map in your config will probably show as a typo. Hope this helps.

well i reviewed the cfg, and i can see no spelling errors, they use the standerd 'mapname;d1' way.

i would paste the cfg here, but have no access to the servers/shells at the mo, i will try later.

Thanks,

Will monitor for your reply then...

Ok Starman,

Will watch for your post then with map names later. Only need the map rotation part. The rest does not matter for rotation puposes.

yupp, did not recognise that one myself

You are correct Starman,

I do not know of a map by this name in EF. Will test out Friday night after I get home. Sure that should fix it though per that one is in the correct place that I noted the error. Thanks again for looking into it!

Tested ok now, THANKS!

As the title saz,

I tested it out tonight on CTF (5) and it was working just fine from spyglass to CTF_and1. Thanks for your attention!
