Such a shame he died so soon because the family was so poor. That said, even developed countries' medicine would have struggled with that one methinks. :(

Aye definitely a little more disturbing. With the baby with 2 heads they weren't even sure which organs were separate and which were combined, surely if doctors can't tell that after a few hours the baby is gonna be screwed anyway??

"Oh yes Mr Smith, your baby might have one liver or two, at the moment it's a bit of a guess". Now THAT'S distrubing for the medical field if nothing else.

I guess they were thinking that putting the little kid through x-rays and scans could have killed him due to the stress.
Best to make sure he was more 'stable' maybe?

I cant help wondering if he had one or two minds... if he had seperate minds, would he have developed two different personalitys? Is it possible? And inevitibly going to the old joke:

-"You think you have it bad? I'm a siamise twin, we only have one ass. My brother is gay. He has a date tonight"

Sad about the child though :(

I would guess because they dont have the facilities to spot these things before the child is born and correct them if possible

dunno in those poor countries the alternatives don't seem to be healthy either (for the moms then)
anyhow it would have been dead anyhow and a fresh trauma for the loving parents

The bangladesh one, is it 1 person with 2 heads or 2 persons with 1 body???

Remembers me to a episode of the Simpsons, when Burns sticks his head into Homer's body....

This story pops every once in a while, around that region. And its gets blamed on all sorts, government experiments, UFO's, chemicals in the food and water.

To be honest, this sort of thing is rare, but not entirely unexpected. Random mutation is normal, and with births increasing year on year, we'll start seeing more of this. Wars, religious bigotry and raving lunatics used to make sure these types of deformities where rare (or destroyed after birth).

With the advent of the new caring and fuzzy human race (I.E. profiteering bastards) and global telecommunications, we'll just see more and more of this.

anyone see the movie stuck on you? great stuff lol.

i remember when i was a kid we had a guiness book of records and there were these african american (I think) boys joined at the top of the head they were probably in their mid-late teens i dont know what happened to them but i often wondered about them when I was little, i mean they were joined at the crown of the head so walked along facing the floor so i always used to wonder about stuff like how did they sit down (I was only a kid so ocf pooping came in to it) and what if one sneezed would the other fall over?

i just can not imagine how someone functions with that kind of life, i guess if your born like it you might not be able to imagine how somebody could function with out an attached twin though.
