Two accounts running on one PC, is that sHaNk ?

I know its possible to run 2 accounts on 1 PC but does anything need to be downloaded for it to work ?
or do u just make the account, log on with one of'em, Alt + tab, then log on the other ?
no game.dll have to be tampered with ?

dont need to 2 dirs but its recomendabel as they might make changes to quckbars and such..
and as said you need SI on both acc's

you should allso have atleast 512meg ram..
i was abel to run 2 daoc w/o problem for a while but now my comp reboots after 5-10mins if i do so...
only using a 1333mhz 512meg ram tho and a gf4 mx.


ps. set one of the accs on /efects none and look up or down to reduce lagg.

u can use both, though for me its lot more stable in windowed, with full screen i get render creation failed a lot, then u have to reboot b4 it lets u play 2 accs again. u get a msg about only being able to play 2 at a time or something even with only 1 acc open

Kinda hard running two daocs and watching pr0n on one comp. at once its laggy enough as it is with the two daocs

I run one windowed and one not, have tried both windowed and full screen and had no real problem with any of the setup's,

As to needing a kick ass pc thats a crock of shite. running a xp2100 512mb geforce TI4200 with no problems at all

i run 2xSi on 600mhz 512ram and gf2mx

it works.... i get very little lag in si... nothing that disturbs u....

what really sucks is...... if u stick SI2 char on your SI1char.. and walk around..... the SI2 char will lag abit and fall behind....and lose stick/follow after a while....

so for me navigating is pain... but once at a good camp spot.. u can xp very well...

buffbotting at atk emain.. shouldnt be a problem for anyone with 512ram

a) u dont need to copy the dirs, character qbars and stuff is saved in diff files - since u cant log on 2 chars of the same name or the same char at the same time - u cant get problems with dual writing
b) u dont need any FuNkY programs
c) whats this fullscreen bollocks, how about TRY IT URSELF AND SEE U COCKMONKEY

i got my 2 accounts working, what u do is click DAoC button so 2 password screens come up, load one up fully, Alt tab, then do the other, it should work then.

anu - copy your daoc directory and run one copy out of each...

windows XP apparently runs two instances fine from the same dir but I hear 98 has problems.

A little tip that helps with the lag.

If u running 2 SI copies under Windows XP:

Bring up the task manager, and find the game.dll processes in the process tab, right click them both and set priority to below normal

You should find 2nd account won't lag as much or unstick.
