It was at an alb Vs hib bridge stand off, just plopped a GT in the middle of the hibs, and managed to cast it before anything shot me :)

Anyway, I just had to share that screen shot :D

TWF3 was the main ability that I wanted to test on Gorre. After 1 week of using it it is the first RA I shall be buying on patch day. Gives a solo Reaver chance to contribute to a standoff battle if you have used all your siege.

The 4, or is it 5, day cruach battle has provided ample chances to thoroughly test. In a standoff battle like this I preset a GT, usually on the bridge, and then just go and have fun. Once the hibs charge, pop TWF and watch the damage spam.

Best so far was planted at cruach end of the bridge. ran back to Alb held end to heal up and 13k rolled in over the next 5 mins.

Won't be as good once it gets a graphic, but until then it is funny watching the enemy running in circles wondering what is hitting them.

Could not find my name in there :) - but your obviously not the only one doing it - great RA stops the charge.

It's also overpowered and gets nerfed back to normal levels in the patch after this. ;)

Is it affected by resists? that might give a bad picture on gorre :)

Realm Ability Changes and Fixes

- The spell effect for Thornweed Field has been changed to a new graphic to indicate the size of the field.

Thornweed Field has been changed so that it cannot be stacked on a player by more than one caster. This was done to prevent situations where multiple Thornweed fields could be used at one time to do much more damage then intended.

It gets a graphic but the damage stays the same. It is still ticking for 240-260 per tick in 1.71

Its affected by matter resists since thats the damage - but matter isnt something many put on their sc template. :)

Tried this one time when albs zerged ahead over a bridge...one spell...10 killspams and 10088 rps...Im so going with this one for my bd. :D

Also know when NF gets released on the real servers everyone will have a decent group / zerg, on gorre nobody plays (well near to nobody) support classes mainly clerics/druids/healers and I think with 2 primairy healers in your group it will hardly dent a group and since everyone got an insane dex already you hardly get those interrupts so you can keep on healing.

Its probably nice to uncover stealthers or just a damage add but I don't see it winning battles but I could be wrong.

its been a good warden RA for a bit now and vastly underated may not win battles but it will certainly help and get you rp's if you rp hungry

Agree for Wardens and probably BD but for Reavers it is an awesome ability, not particulary for the damage or even the extra interrupt but rather the fact that it snares multiple players whilst a couple of Reavers run in for the bomb.

Once the gfx are added I believe it will be a useful tool to bye your group a few extra seconds whilst the enemy get out of the circle. They are not to know whether it is twf1 or 3.

The damage will still be quite nice. Seen screenies of 230 ish against 26% matter resists. Just depends how long the person stays in the radius for, and whether you land the bomb.

it´s uber in tower/keep holds or any small space where you cant escape the twf radius :cheers:

Nope, I dunno if they all had them on passive or if they just got nuked by others before they reached me :p

Oh, and heres a mini-reaver bomb (need master levels for a real reaver bomb :< ), the damage is Soul Quench with 55 effective soulrander spec, and... about 155 piety iirc :)

The problem with TWF is that it stacks. Add three or four TWF-3 to a group and you get can take out almost everything in a matter of seconds.

4 stacked TWF3's = 1000 damage every 3sec on a 1000 unit diameter area of snared enemies = instawin. (or, if you can survive 10,000 damage over 30secs, you might live.)

Not exactly a fun addition to the game.

Why do you think they invented the phrase 'Reaver-bombs'?

It's essense resist not matter. So pop Sojourner ml 7 Resistance of the Ancients and it drops to 150-180 a tick. Well that's the way it is on US servers. It also no longer stacks on us servers but ST does and it's so overpowered. It's like a 30 second perma stun if it gets stacked on you. Probably get nerfed soon.

Thats the fanciest way of saying "leech" I've ever seen.

UToS gets nerfed to spirit dmg from essence dmg, is why Reaver bomb was so nasty and a few reavers could insta kill multiple fg's :D

Reaver bomb has nothing to do with TWF. TWF is just a useful addition to keep peeps bunched up and distracted. The 2 sec cast and 3 sec delay on first tic makes it pretty useless for using as part of the bomb in anything other than a lord room.

The "Reaver Bomb" is Banelord ML8+ML2+Soulquench, done by 2+ Reavers to get max effect. At curent levels my ML8 does around 500-900, ML2 100-200, SQ 400-500. A single Reaver can therefore aoe around 1600 damage tops almost instantly. That gets rid of the casters, the 2nd Reaver is for the tanks ;)
