Below is the text of a question I sent recently to Right Now :

(Midgard : Prydwen-Excalibur Cluster)

The current CM display bug is a major source of irritation to many players of DAoC at the moment. I know this, you know this. I am therefore disappointed that Camelot Reporter, as usual stuffed to the gills with trivialities, has not bothered to describe the method I sent to you some days ago of how to get at invisible CM items using a 'cashless toon'. Judging by the response when I described this on Freddy's House this is an important way of overcoming this particular annoyance.

I also wonder if you could tell me if GoA or Mythic have any intention of tweaking the following anomalies in the near future. They irritate me, if no-one else.

1. When porting into a house, you begin with the character facing the door. Why? How many people port in and then immediately port out again? Turn the character 180 degrees to save us having to do it all the time.

2. Why is porting through keep doors a matter of clicking the opposite mouse button to the one usually employed for doors?

3. In one patch recently the travel token for return to the Erikstaad Housing Entrance disappeared and has not been replaced. Why?

4. Why, oh, why cannot the travel tokens be given to the npc that sells them, instead of having to waste time finding a CM?

5. The Thane Champion Sword sits far too low on the back and the Valkerie equivalent pokes through any cloak that's worn.

6. WHY do the astrally summoned cloaks a. have all the same skin and b. have a skin identical to the ML9 Feathered Wrap? Surely they can be distinguished in some way?

7. Trophies : (I find these highly annoying)

a. Why do trophies from different animals have exactly the same skin? Even a variation in colour would be easy to do.

b. How come neither the owner, nor anybody else can see the NAME of the trophy, either via a tool-tip or a RClick? It is probably too tedious to re-draw the trophy art to include names (though frankly some of them are very poor art work) but some form of id should not be too hard to implement.

c. How come even the most expensive dwelling has not got enough room to display all the trophies you can collect?

There are others, but that will do to be going on with. Is there any possibility of a proper detailed reply, instead of the usual 'Mythic and GoA are working on it' ?

Those are just a few of the things I would like to see Mythic change. I wonder if there are others?
If you'd like to post 'em in this thread I'll collect them and send to Right Now as a 'compilation from a variety of players.' Don't get too technical (I want to be able to see what you're getting at), or suggest something that would require major rewriting of the code. Constructive ideas only, please.
I also don't think we need mention spelling or grammar mistakes. These could have been easily dealt with ages ago if they'd wanted to.

9) casters wielding a CL-staff look like idiots. instead of holding the staff at the bottom, why can't they hold it in the middle like every other staff?

Yes, pets need to be fixed.

10, Why do pets go to a target where the monster/enemy player "was" and doesnt directly move to the target when the mob has moved, like aggroed the player itself. It often results in a quick death or a big annoyance of the player.

a. The healers!! Fix the annoying thing that makes them run trough walls and pull whole cave on you!

something that requires some programming:
You give players on Co-op servers and PvP servers the ability to create characters on multiple realms, yet you claim it's impossible to create characters on opposing realms on the different servers of the clusters. If that's the case why don't you just copy over the login programming of Co-op and PvP servers to clustered servers? Keep the cooldown time but give us europers some more options to choose instead of being locked playing 1/3'rd of the game.

1. When changing the price of an item on the CM, make the price default to the current items price. Since if I am reducing a price, its normally down fromt the current price.

2. Add a button to clear the price of the item on the CM, if option 1 is implemented.

3. Give my healer 450 dex, to offset my advancing years and slowing reactions. Rest of my GG is getting annoyed about me never winning a mez war.

ohw yeah about that cm...

switch parameter order on the /setprice command. Currently it's
/setprice <slot> <price_in_copper>
which results in a lot of shift-back'ing to change the price of consecutive CM items. Changing it to:
/setprice <price_in_copper> <slot>
is much better because you only have to backspace only one or two characters if you have a lot of items with thesame price to set.

Sure, its the lack of dex that means you can't win mezzes ;)

Afaik dex doesnt count on insta mezz =(

Small things that could help alot...

Well the top of your list was something that should really be dealt with and should be easy enough to do too...

1. Housing merchant display bug (fixit. From your list)
2. Refacing (make a char leaving/entering a house face the direction they were doing when entering it (usually with their back to the door itself. From your list)
3. Refacing on stick. (new) This is bascially the same thing. When stuck to a person leading you, and he stops abruptly, you pass him and turn around facing him from the other direction. Ofc you can work around it, but its very annoying. Why not have the person stay in its place and face the same direction he was when his sticky stopped ?)
4. Ressillness from rvr death after release. (new) Annoying, pointless and way to long. Its annoying to be ressill after dying and releasing. With the way porting/buffing in the frontiers works atm, it only works as an annoying factor for the part of the population that cant afford to have a bb with cure ressill. Remove it altogether. After you release the effects of death should be removed)

Artifacts:

Change the artifact repair cost or make them more durable.
(Annoying after every raid to pay 1p for 4 arties that got broke 1% con!!!)

I believe arti repair costs halve in the next patch......

Fix the pets all together.

Both the negative and positive bugs.

Healers running away annoys the BD greatly.

Healers Teleporting around while healing WHILE interupted and out of LoS is a PITA!

Why cant they just work like player/other pets?

I much agree to that they need to have a look on BD pets as they are (mostly healer pets) insane in dungeons aso.
Another thing that bugs me, is that when you are out rvr`ing, and run to ex. Oriens. Two scouts start shooting at you, you run inside the bridgetower with 10% hp, think phew, and then a arrow comes thru the wall and finishes you off.
Is this a bug or did they get wall-penetrating arrows? o,O

Weel no, didnt u hear they got the patriot missile arrows? Zooms in on u through a window or summit... ;)

Are they kidding or what ? :mad: So who did barrels? Who did port stone (good idea) but made the second stone virtually useless (only can be used by actual house owner)? Who makes quests that cannot be removed from the Journal?

I did - I edited out the links they gave me to CH - they were broken. Again though, it may be just going into an infinite Black Hole, as Mythic state 'thankyou for your feedback. Although you may not get a reply, we want you to know yada yada yada'

Make siege RVR easier.

Lower keep hitpoints!

Add extra siege machinery! Ie LADDERS! Or dig holes under the walls so maybe they collapse?

Give midgard a third char who gets climb wall. Every other realm gets three when mids get 2.

Fix the dam cm's!

Make it so more than 3 trebs can target a wall piece at one time!

Make exping easier, or make it so that if you grp with players the same level as you , you exp faster than you get pl'ed, Might promote people to actually us other zones except moderna.

Keeps/towers should offer a higher rp reward/money when they are taken.
Siege rvr can be expensive, so increase money rewards imo. Maybe 500 gold?

Also make it an encentive to go take keeps, if people know there going to get something decent out of it, and not 50 deaths and 2k rp's after spending ages taking a keep.

998. Why haven't you fixed RM speed even tho it has been bugged for close to 2 years now.

999. how come a low speed can overwrite a higher one ? ea realmspeed overwrites any other.

1000. It's insanely annoying to have someone pass you with ae speed and the´n the next 6 sec you don't have any speed before your own kicks in. can this be fixed plz ?
