TV out....

Right, my sister's boyfriend went and tested a small tv monitor that he's gonna fit into his car with my PC the other day using my GeForce 3 Ti200.

Thing is, he forgot to change the settings when he shut down my PC. He went back up North and a few days later I set my PC up proper... only to find that now everytime I boot up the PC monitor switches itself off just before Windows boots up.

ARGH! HELP!

Is there anyway I can fix this without refitting a tv monitor to my PC and changing the settings?

Seconded...but here's how... press f5, just spam it repeatedly right after POST, you'll get it right some time. :)

Tried safe mode but still cuts out just before Windows boots up.

Hmmm.

Anyways, I've got a cable now to connect the PC to my parents television so I can sort out what's wrong.

Where do I find the settings? lol, soz for the n00b question but I've never used TV out at all, let alone fiddled with the settings so I'm pretty much doing things on the fly. I wasn't there when my sis' bf did his thingy with my PC... :(

Also, another question - I'm connecting to ADSL soon after four years of running win98 through a network connection (either my uni LAN or one we had at a uni house off campus linked to dual isdn) and I wondered what I'd have to do to make everything run okay...

i.e. what settings do I need to delete, from network properties etc., etc?

Thanks guys in advance, the sh33p3h god will be good to you in your dirteh dreams.

I've never had a gf, but I'd guess rightclick desktop>properties>settings then maybe in advanced ?

Its a lil l8, since you got a cable...but you could have gone into safe mode, uninstalled the driver for the gf, rebooted, then reinstalled the driver....and that should have reset you to monitor rather than tv...

saying that, I am surprised no one has posted a config hack...there is usually a file of settings for your graphics card which you can edit with wordpad or whatever... :/
