k... I'll respond to this post (since I'm a fellow electronic musician).

This is not normally the type of music I like. At all. Still, I found it rather interesting to listen to (I'm Mr. Detroit Techno). You have some nice things happening with the composition (dropping out at 1:48 and rebuilding it from there). The progression you used with the synth chord reminds me a lot of a particular remix of 808 State's "Pacific". I liked some of the sounds you used too, what kind of gear (kit) do you use? The mix, however, sounds a bit too "bright" for me. Maybe it's the MP3 encoding.

Overall, a good effort.

BTW, You might want to head over to www.the-gas-station.com and post your music there too. There's a section called "listen to this". There's a thread that myself and several regulars keep going for reviews (it's the one with almost 300 posts). I post there as "subject28"

I wasn't keen on the bassline personally; it was too simple and sounded euro trance-lite, whereas the other elements of the record were prog. It also seemed too 'quiet' in relation to the main riff. Or maybe the main riff was a bit on the loud side. I dunno, probably down to bad encoding/my hearing, but hey; fairly good stuff anyhow, content-wise. Keep it up.
