I have been headhunted by a direct, larger (the biggest in the trade) competitor to my present employer. My friends and family are all away atm, so I thought I would tell this forum!

Just been re-writing my CV, interview soon!

Don't think my boss reads these forums.

Actually I really get on well with my current employer, but they have offered £££££££ more! Perhaps I'll be talking about a payrise to stay! yay \o/

I have been randomly sweating-like-hell over it and then getting washed over by a feeling of ultra-cool. This is new. I -never- thought something this good would ever happen (touch wood) to me!

True story: Lad hates menial job. Lad does home-study A-level, Lad does 'mature student' thing at uni, while lad is at uni he thinks 'Wouldn't it be great if, one day, I got headhunted for a job'(dreams a bit), lad wakes up & thinks 'that'll -never- happen'. Lad flunks degree in final year (of bloody four!). Lad goes for even more menial agency work. Lad gets menial (more than the first place) job working for madman councillor. Lad is helped to get a better, semi-menial job in office by best mate's dad. Lad makes the best of it, thinking 'this is the best I'll ever get'. Lad rises in small company. Lad gets HEADHUNTED by large rival firm!

The ending - unknown as yet.......

The moral - make up your own, lazy git!

I went to get an 'interview' haircut today. The young lady in the Barbers was getting hassle, being the only female there, so I advised her of a good retort. She brightened considerably and later wished me luck with my interview!

My mate (not a great m8 this one) when I told him, was very surprised, if a little offish, but wished me well in the end (he'll still earn more than me with all the overtime he does). He's just gone off to Prague for -he says- the cheap beer and city. I say it's prolly the cheap hookers! Anyway, I can't wait to tell my family when they return.
