24 hours downtime for Trinity deployment started an hour ago.

What are you looking forward to?

Trinity Trailer

Patch notes (down atm)

The graphics are just amazing. Other than that I look forward to changes in exploration, higher invention success rate and new lowslot for my Nidhoggur <3 (-1 midslot)

I'm doing a lot of exploration in the Great Wildlands at the moment so the changes to that should be great - especially 3 day despawn for all the crap sites.

New graphics look awesome - can't wait to try them!

The curse/pilgrim are getting a minor boost too - able to have 3 full sets of medium drones in the bay to mix things up a bit. I'm ignoring the nerf by scripts for Tracking Disrupters that I know nothing about!

Not flown an interdictor but think I'll train for a HIC soonish.

Esz.

P.S. On that note anyone want to buy a Cryptic Ship Interface? :p

Aye I do exploration aswell and it's good to see they are boosting it abit. I must have done dozens of radar sites with empty hacking cans and crap loot. Once in a blue moon I find esoteric ship data interface bpcs though. Happened only once so far but was lucky with a 4-run :)

I do caldari invention, but those things go for 400m or so anyways ;)

They pop up every now and then have found 3 x 4-run cryptic so far - over a couple of months. Not selling too well at the moment though, think people have been holding on until after trinity so see if prices drop.

My main annoyance is the number of absolutely useless T2 rig BPCs I've found in Mag sites :) You find a bpc for something that noone sane would fit to a ship and needs 30 T2 rig parts to build & the site only drops 1 T2 rig part. They're worth doing for the chance of a skill-book drop though.

T2 Gravimetric one (scan time) got me very excited when I first found it - for about 2 minutes when I found out a covops doesn't have the calibration to fit it!

Yeah and the better t2 rigs, like CCC t2 is overly expensive to make, unless you have all the parts yourself. Which takes ages because the only effective source is either officer spawns or player t2 ships. Faction spawns just don't cut it

But we'll see what good Trinity brings to exploration, it's an exciting aspect as each time you hack or analyze a can it's like having a ticket to the lottery with a chance of hitting the jackpot. It also keeps a steady isk flow aswell :)

Damn - only been playing a couple of weeks and I'm already missing it :p

Anything interesting to newer players in the patch notes? (why on earth did they take the patchnotes down - sigh).

Scrapheap-Challenge always has good coverage of all patches etc..

Lots of knowledgeable people for things like ship fittings and stuff.

Wow - thats a hell of a patch - luckily most of it made no sense so can be comfortably ignored :)

Dunno what they did to exploration, but for my part it's awesome. A 4-run ship data interface = 1.8 bill with current prices and 3x caldari encryption skillbook = 300m.

So over 2.1 bill in a bout 2.5 hrs work

Christ....

Congratulations! I did one radar site before sleep - got 2 skill books. I'm sure I've only found them in Mag sites before.

Prices are going to go through the floor! Think I'm gonna have to sell some stuff asap.

In other news Eve might have deleted my boot.ini file so I might have a fucked computer when I get home.

boot.ini gone bye bye

Ah, it's not a problem in vista so I'm ok - be careful XP people!

Yeah skillbooks are going to be cheap, so I'm trying to sell those 4 I got as fast as I can. The Ship data interfaces will stay high I think because of the demand (4 new t2 ships for each race) and the rarity of electronic links (500k a pop)

Yeah I checked boot.ini and it wasn't affected by CCP's brainfart ;)

Well - not sure how it looks in your area mate but in Minnie space the Cryptic Ship ones have dropped to 239mil a piece. They were about 400 a month ago.

Not been in game much recently as Christmas is when I make all my money at work but it's a bit of an arse :)

I don't have a boot.ini - and don't have any problems.

I need to upgrade my PC anyway so if it dies it dies.

No fancy graphics for meh.

Yeah I know. The drop rates of the BPCs probably increased after Trinity or the demand got congestated. I made a nice buck out of my last 4-run but I'll probably not explore after more.

Atm I make my isk out of supplying the Geminate market with t2 modules I invent. I also do ship invention, like vagabonds, onyx and such. If the market is favourable I'll probably ramp it up to Marauder - Black Ops production. (I need to make some fat spreadsheets first)

Or I'll invest in a POS moon mining network in lowsec or 0.0 after the holidays. It's better to invest those very few bill you have in something rather than letting it sit and go sour! :)

I haven't actually got the invention skills yet myself - not long now though. Soon I'll be able to use the stuff I've been selling from exploration.

Question: Am I better off having a few interfaces of each type and running various jobs simultaneously?

Will probably do exploration for a while longer - I don't fly anything larger than a battlecruiser & spent most of my time using HACs or Recons - and with a war-dec that seems pretty permenant atm I won't be running any missions soon :) Just bought a sister's probe launcher too - much cheaper than the scan time implant and 2.5x as good :D

The interface doesn't get consumed while invention or is made busy. You can just chuck it inside the research container and make multiple invention jobs with the same interface.
