Not sure how many people in OT would be effected by this but dimebag darrell has been shot dead from damage plan and previously pantera at a gig by a mad gunman...

I remember the only time I almost managed to see pantera perform live in birmingham NEC but unfortunately 9/11 event stopped all of that. Was still an awesome weekend but gutted I never got to see them play live.

Is a real eye opener when something like this happens, especially to a guy who never went around starting trouble, was the first to break up fights and was just out for a good time. But then again, I guess when you only need to piss off 1 madman out of millions of fans, it aint something thats easily avoided.

Dimebag will be sadly missed, a great riffmeister and awesome soloer and part of one of the hottest metal bands of the last 25 years. Me & some of the local university Rock Society are hosting a tribute night on Weds in his honour.

Ye I decided to go along anyways to see slayer only to be mugged with a knife at my throat by 3 fat bastard black dudes. Still was an awesome weekend though, something to do with a table full of different curries, freebird and 80% vodka
