I'm pleased to announce that Tribesplayers.co.uk has reached an agreement with the Barrysworld team, and will now be hosted on the BW web servers.
The delay in launching the site was down to the fact that we had various little irks to thrash out, and this took time. Apologies for any inconvenience.
Tribesplayers.co.uk will represent two things. Firstly, the committment by Dynamix to the UK/Irish Tribes communities, and secondly, the 'beating heart' of those communities - covering everything (and I mean *everything*) that the communities have to offer.
A number of people have expressed concern that players new to the game find it complex and overpowering - and are put off. TP.co.uk has a massive section dedicated to the Newbie player, explaining everything in detail, with nice clear screenies
For the experienced players, there are massive sections on tactics, strategies, mapping, skinning, modding, scripting and HUD'ing.
The new date for launch cannot be accurately pinned down at this point - I am in the middle of changing jobs, so Real Life is quite hectic at the moment! - but I expect to officially launch Tribesplayers.co.uk no later than the middle of next week.
Tribesplayers.co.uk is focusing intently on the people who play the game, and as such has need of some quality contributors.
A number of people have already responded to previous requests, and these people will get a reply soon - so no need to reply again
Specifically, we are looking for feature/column writers. We have set aside space for three columnists, to write editorials, features, interviews, and run their own Barrysworld style column. If you are interested, mail me at Brit@planet-tribes.com
We are also always open to suggestions. Tribesplayers.co.uk has been designed, for the most part, around input from community members, and we intend to carry this right through the site. If you have a comment, feel free to post it here.
Anyhow, just thought I'd let you all know
