I'm an AQ player, but right now I'm looking for a new online game, and since I saw this forum, I thought I'd come and say hello. Right, prepare for the newbie questions;

what is Tribes?
What are the hardware requirements?
Should I buy it?
uh, anything else I should know?

It should be noted that Tribes is a couple of years old and Tribes 2 is due for release by the end of the year (hopefully). A brand new copy can still be found in some places. You can sometimes find a used copy of Tribes in a second shop or a computer fair, that's were I got mine.

You mean those two round things in the box which hold the Tribes CD are a game!!!! I thought they were novelty drinks coasters...

Actually, I have played it. It's quite good graphically, but it's a MechWarrior type game ie. Pantz of the highest order

Starseige is only good on Single player in fact its v good single player .. The Multiplayer is full of 'l33t hax0rs' who have hack the code to hell, so that they never get killed ect. Makes the game a bit boring to tell the truth. when the server wont let you use smart guns, even though your opponents have homing bullets
