Right, just to assuage any fears that Tribes doesn't have excellent OpenGL support.. it DOES.

Machine spec :

AMD K7-600
Xentor Ultra TNT2 32MB
18GB HDD

Tribes install from European pack to standard directory. Immediate upgrade to 1.8 via the normal patch.

Options > Graphics > Fullscreen Driver > TNT/TN2 > Open GL > Resolution: 1024x786 > APPLY

Load Raindance...

showfps();

FPS whilst running/flying etc :: 70fps+
FPS whilst inside the bases :: 100fps+
FPS whilst in an inv stat :: 150fps+

No glitches, smooth as a babe's arse... fluid like you wouldn't believe... in short :

NO PROBLEM

And, by the time those of you who are coming turn up on the 3rd Sep, there will be 20 of these beasts here...

The OpenGL in tribes has been playable for a while now, but the OpenGL performance is still nowhere near the Glide performance.

yes it works, and works well...

but look at the machine spec you need to play it at its best on

Yes they do and you can all express yourselfs about Athlons in the "General" forum on my Athlons post ;P
