Tribes 3?

I have seen Tribes3 mentioned twice on this forum over the past few days, one being here. Has dynamix sierra announced something? If not i think the chances of a Tribes3 are pretty grim, seeing as Dynamix have sacked half of their staff, and a few more have gone to garage games. What are the chances of a Tribes3, and would there be any point?

To be honest it would take a LOT of convincing to get me to buy it after all the hastle Dynamix/Sierra have caused me and everyone else. Not that I don't love Tribes 2 mind.

dynamix should think up another original game, like they did with tribes, not bleed it dry

tribes3 wouldnt be a shite idea, starseige tribes had a huge ammount of RP behind it, perhaps if dynamix would bring that more into the game it would be better, admitedly i am disappointed tribes2 hasnt taken off as it should have but i still like it, anyway planetside is shit, no doubt the servers will be in america giving us uk users a nice high ping. I hope when tribes3 is made it is by new people so its not just a sequal and more of a new game.

I never played T1, but I can see the RPG element just looking around at some of the Tribes websites. An RPG element has always been a good thing for gaming by making games more immersive and entertaining.

To be honest, Tribes2 has barely got underway and I can't imagine that T3 will be made based on the mediocre popularity of this "big game" so soon after it's release and the slamming that it's been getting from all over. Things change though, maybe T3 will be a step closer to an RPG environment in terms of gameplay.

With the recently released V12 game engine, who knows what modders and mini-dev teams will be getting up to. It will be interesting to see.

TBH the whole of Sierra's possible games is kind of false or fictional...TF2, HL2, T3, etc etc...who knows. One thing I do hope is that they sort T2 out

I read in some news that Dynamix are definately going to create an expansion pack for the game some time or another.
