Tremors got a big drill....

I thought I best put this up quick. I am off work at the moment because I am poorly, Trem is off work because he usually is on a tuesday. So that means that I am unfortunately home to witness him drilling big holes into the front room walls to fix up extra speakers for the tv. He really shouldn't be allowed to use a drill. In January I bought some shelves for the bedroom. He tried to put them up for about and hour and in the end all I got was three holes in the wall, one of which had a screw in it that wouldn't budge and a broken drill bit. In the end when we had some decorating done last weekend I got the guy to fit the shelves up. So now he's starting againg with putting useless holes in the wall. Why do men presume if they've got a big drill then they are DIY kings. So if you don't hear from us in a while he's blown the electrics or something, please hheelllpppp meee.:(

OMG he has just told me he's got the yellow screwdriver stuck in the holes he's managed to make in our "hard walls". Why was he using a screwdriver to make a hole I hear you cry. Thats what I want to know too.

*goes to a dark corner to hide*

I dont expect him to be automatically good at doing stuff around the house. I just wish he would realise that he's not! He got bored of drilling for a bit so went into the garden with the saw, oops there goes another shrub. heehee.

Yeah I think thats its the same in most houses if for no other reason than the woman tends to have more patience, and reads necessary instructions before commencing with the task at hand. At least when ever we buy anything flatpacked he now just helps me to carry it into the house and then quietly exits the room until said furniture is built. Huw Huw Huw (in toolman tim taylor stylee)

this is what I've done to my house since September

Sanded all the floorboards
Varnished them
Re-wired some of rooms
Wallpapered huge hallway and upstairs landing
installed coving in back room
demolished wall
ripped out old downstairs bathroom
ripped out old kitchen
installed new gas fireplace
put stilts under front room floor
installed new locks on doors
renovated staircase
repaired central heating
installed burglar alarm
installed telephone and internet cables

and many more smaller jobs

Drilling holes in the wall? Don't make me laugh!

Is that pro-logic or 5.1? I have a tip for u tremor (I am a hifi audiophile), if the speaker brackets are a bit crappy, get some bluetack and put it between the wooden box of the speaker and the metal frame of the bracket. The sound quality will improve ever so slightly, and not as much noise will be transmitted through your walls/floors.

Just cos I'm in a big headed mood, here is my hifi:

Linn Basik turntable with AT-F5 cartridge
Arcam Delta 70.3 CD player
Naim NAC 425N preamplifier
Naim NAP 90 power amplifier
Rogers LS-2a speakers

All on Target stands (spiked)

hehe

I got too much moneh!

Maybe you could get the writers of seti@home to enable others to perform your gfx calculations, so you could run in 1048576x589824 and not suffer laggy smoke grenades!

wow 5.1 eh? Thats my next thing for my dvd and w/s telly. I only have prologic at the mo. I really wanna hear that 5.1 sound on some of my fave films, Heat, and Leon (directors cut of course). Pity the Godfather films are only in stereo. DVD rules

Samm, you sound very repressed.

Trems, just get the implants like I told you and everything will be fine.

:)

DIY, makes me *cough* just thinking about it...
