Hi you all!

One of my good mates got a half year training-job in Bankok and the crew have planned to visit him (including me of course). Now i dont know their plans besides bankok but most study and have to be back for that. We plan on leaving around late december to catch christmas with him and maybe new years. I however, wanna travel abit more in Asia - the usual, Cambodia, Vietnam, visit Japan again and maybe australia/New Zealand and what else i can come across.
I plan on travelling from the date in december and 2 months (more or less).
Now im looking for some company that offers mile-packages. I remember talking to some british people who had bought like 10k miles and had planned a trip that way.
Any of you guys know something about it?
tyty!

BA world traveller ticket.

You either get a set mileage limit or a set number of stops. Obviously the other airlines do these too, companies like travelbag are a good place to start looking.

As you are on such a tight timescale, planning is essential. You don't want to waste your time and money, so plan what you want to see and do in advance, research what can be done in each country.

Hitchhike and sell yourself to pay for your way back home, it'll be tough but you can do it.

Don't disappoint son.

So, i plan today or tomorrow will be the day i buy my ticket and therefore im planning the places i will go.

It looks like this so far:

14. DEC (i can save 800 dkr by travelling 6 days earlier but i can earn more in that period anyway) Cph -> Bankok till the 28th or something then to phuket (I assume) for new years! off to either Vietnam or Cambodia. Maybe a bit in Japan if price is cheap yeah.

I wanna ask however. Anybody travelled in Asia and know if its cheaper to sail (i like me sailing) between countries like Thailand and Cambodia/vietnam.

I dont know, im just planning. Any sites for Asian travelling you know of would help me as well!

Economicly im trying to make it all fit with 3 months of pay, saving every penny i can and hoping for the best.

anymore than 3 or 4 days in bangkok is too much, it's just a smelly city with hookers. More time in phuket.

Most reliable entry points into Vietnam are the airports and the overland crossing from Cambodia. As far as I am aware you can only get visa on arrival from the major airports, Ha Noi and HCMC, still need pre entry paperwork mind. We used these people for our last trip, no problems at all.

Cambodia, you can pretty much just turn up with cash and some passport photos :)

Walk

its almost free and basically if you have a few weeks you will actually get far.. like.. 4km/h at 6 hours a day will get you 24 kilometers day... may sound slow but if you got like a few months to ill it will get you quite far.. about 1000km in a month

Also thats the way you see a country.. i think...

i allways wanted to walk or ride(on a bike) around the world!
