i did a speed test for my bt broadband and it suggested i do this:
Section 3: Download Speed Results
Three downloads are tested; one from one of your ISPs servers, one through your Transparent Cache and one through an alterntive cache. This will give you an idea of how capable your connection is. Note: You should take the highest download speed into account.
BT Openworld - 512k service Server Download:
0KB/s (0Kb/s) - **** SERVER ERROR: Unexpected error from Server****
Download through Transparent Cache:
36KB/s (288Kb/s) - Below Average - you're paying for almost twice this!
Download through alternative Cache (webcache.bt.net):
58KB/s (464Kb/s) - Perfect - running at full speed!
* It appears that the alternative cache is working better than the BT Openworld - 512k service cache. To improve Web Browsing, set the Proxy Server in your Web Browser to webcache.bt.net on port 3128*
The question is, should I? And if so, how do I?
thank you in advance so much for your kind help and friendly advice in this matter.
