transparency

I have an image, with a black bg, is there anyway I can "draw" on the parts I want to be transparent?

I dont wanna start the image from scratch with a transparent bg.

im using paintshop pro

Is there not a Magic Eraser type tool in PSP? Answer no, and I'll giggle.

Go to Colours/Set Palette Transparency, and pick a vibrant colour you'd never use in the image, like bright pink or red. This will clear all pixels of that colour when the image is viewed in a browser, making the image transparent. All you have to do then to draw the transparent areas is pick the same color you set in the transparency options.
