Be happy

Been working in the 'wonderful' American Capital on and off for the past 6 months and I was greeted by a wonderful site this Saturday morning. In the midst of a slightly bad hangover I turned on the telly to watch kiddies TV, as you do. American kiddie’s TV largely consists of 5 different variations on the pokemon type theme and cartoons of kids at school. But there was an exception to this on Saturday - a new Transformers show… Followed the same premise of the old one but had all the other add-on ‘s beast wars (or what ever they were called.), etc.

They also have new transformers toys available over here; well presume they do as they were also being blasted to me in the 4 commercial breaks in the 30 minute long cartoon. So transformers isn’t dead in the states and given its massive commercial nature probably won’t be long before it appears in the UK.

PS. This mail is not in anyway to insinuate that America is a nice place, 1 transformers show a week does not make up for the rest of the shit that is the USA.

anyone remember Micronauts ? must have been about 22 years ago (GOD :( That long ago ) I had loads of them, fully poseable action figures and slightly see through with little silver heads. Way cool.

Well if any of you are interested, there is a Transformers convention that is held around this time every year. Can't remember where it is, I just know that this really geeky lad I use to work with went every year.

Could be fun......

Nah isn't the beast wars rubbish. Is hand drawn animation looks like the original series but 'crisper'. The beast wars lot were in it and funnily enough the beast wars transformers are seen as the wimpy ones out of the 4+ sides...

Maybe if i get any more bored will find out some more info. Also the new toys that appeared in the adverts appear a lot smaller than the originals although its maybe I am looking back on them with rose tinted spec's.
