Duo in Barrows so naturally your brain goes elsewhere.

Was thinking it would be nice if lvl50s could act as a trainer for those in their profession. Say, a lvl50 pally could act as a trainer for non-50 pallies and so forth.

Maybe have a rather large quest (solo'able) before you get the ability so that there's really something to it. Possibly have different quests that grant the different aspects of training ie realm abilities, PvE skills, etc.

Just would be a nice touch that instead of going to a town to a trainer, you could go see a realm mate and call up the training window if they'd got this ability. Would be a nice touch for roleplaying too.

I think there was something similar in SWG.

Great idea, Im sure many folk would take to this, I must admit tho the /advice list these days is a little short in most realms, maybe this could be a good replacement.

Good idea, would make it more interesting if you could only spec your points as high as the person training you.

Eg a sword-n-board paladin would not be able to train a 2H paladin, or an ICE wizard would not be able to train a Fire Wizard

that sounds good. like a mentor to help with your training and questions.
but how many long players would take the time out to help lower levels. i know i would but i have met a few who are just plain ignorant.

Very nice idea. Indeed something similar is in SWG and is widely used since its much cheaper to recieve training from other players than from npc trainers (training costs money etc). And also, as in that game, you should only be able to teach skills you actually have.

I always answer ppl who ask me stuff, I hate being ignored myself (don't happen often as a troll, but still)....

Good idea imo!

This was one of the better features of SWG (shame about the rest of the game, but oh well).
The NPC trainers charged a reasonably hefty fee for training you, the higher the skill, the more expensive it was. Players could train other players for free (or for their own set fee, depending on the person), in any of the skills they already had, up to their own skill levels.
Personally I think this is a great system, especially as it helps to form good contacts with other people.
I was one of the earliest Master Tailors on Naboo/Eclipse. Over time I had a lot of people asking me for training, and most were surprised that I didn't charge them for it. Made a lot of good contacts that way, and some friends.

Anything that means people have to help each other out more is a good thing in my book.

Have to put some sort of pre-req, not just a quest that people have to do, but like /advisor, you need 2 days /played or something for.. make it say 25 /played or something or maybe 40-50, so its available but not every chump with a PLd 50 can do it

and have to have some sort of on and off function, /who trainer .. to prevent people being zerged... ooh your in barrows, can me and these 500 other people just train while you stand there like a tard for 30 mins....

otherwise, PLAN! :)

I like this idea. Perhaps, like SWG, you could gain apprentice points for new abilities. That way people wouldn't get all their training free and then not bother helping anyone else, although you're bound to get a few.

SWG is a good game :) and yes it'd be a great idea...but tbh GOA have more aspects to get done to this game before they start with the player to player training! :)

They involve some chicks in Jordheim anyway, and they need a job too :)

Besides, training is quite more frequent than respeccing, at least before you hit 50, when it's the other way around..

It'd be Mythic that would have to change it, not GOA.
