Can anyone reconmend me a decent trackball thingy mouse doobrie? Im starting a project for a new box and really need a decent one. Not too expensive would be good too as its just gonna be sunk into a surface.

Oh and also, while im here, the tv out part of graphics cards, is it possible to have that going into scart?

Off the top of my head Logitech are the most reknowned brand.

While I can't comment on this one in particular: http://www.dabs.com/uk/channels/hardware/productView.htm?quicklinx=182Y it's not a bad price for a top brand.

Kensington - who make competant kit most of the time - also offer various trackballs at similar prices and lower.

I can't make promises on the above link, since I've only ever used a trackball once... however, I hope it helps. If it's all wrong, I expect Xav will ship me a truckload of trackballs to review as punishment...

As for converting signal outputs, you certainly should be able to get a conversion cable from Maplin or suchlike. Just try and get the socket/plug code to ensure you get the right one :)

Regarding your TV-out to S-Video question: yes.

What you want is an S-VHS to SCART converter - something like this, although I suspect you could just about get away with buying it from somewhere other than Maplins... ;)

Thanks, ive seen that logitech one in the flesh looking back now and it was indeed nice...

The svideo to scart is not ideally what i am after as the telly i am using is not a particularily good picture wise in S-Video, and im assuming id get a S-Video output if run from that part of the vid card. I was wondering if there was any implications, or indeed a way of connecting a tv straight to a pc via the standard screw/block part of a monitor cable... (u know the one i mean :) )

Badly put, let me try again monitor cable plug bit that goes on grafx card, to Scart?

Not in a single cable no. But you can get signal convertors that might do the trick. The main thing is that the signal going to a monitor is very different to that of a television.

However, I believe that Trust (to name one) used to make a converter box, but I'm afraid I've not got the magazine I found that in. However, there is every possibility that it still exists.
