Live coverage will be on eurosport, so you can listen to David Duffield (hopefully) and Sean Kelly talk about the nice meal they had last night, whilst watching a nice chateau from a helicopter :)

www.letour.fr will have the latest updates, this will be very handy when the mountains arrive as there are pages to keep track of all the different groups on the stage.

I hope so, although Armstrong is a great rider, I find that it is his team that wins it, rather than the individual rider. I'm sure when I saw Riis, Ullrich and Pantani win it before him that they did much more of the work on their own. Rasmussen has done all of his work on his won seeing how poor Rabobank are :)

this is awesome. We're finally seeing armstrong without his team in this tour, and all the great riders are up front

Tough stage today, 5hrs 43mins, and thats just the winner, I feel so sorry for those in the autobus :)

Although Armstrong was without his team, he still looked strong, Ullrich again showed why his style of just grinding out fails when someone like Armstrong can just dance on the pedals.
Next years tour could be very interesting, with Ullrich being the only former winner, and a whole load of great riders, like Basso, all after the vacant #1 spot.

I'm so looking forward to todays stage, check out the insane profile. 4 1st categories before the final All category mountain finish, I really will feel sorry for the autobus.

Well Done George

Not had chance to watch todays stage, but been keeping tabs online, and I would like to say, Well Done George!

The unsung hero of the USP/DSC team, he's meant to be a sprinter, but he's always there helping out Lance. He gets a chance at a breakaway, on arguably the hardest stage of the tour, and he wins the stage, congratulations George

A Sad Day

Today marks the 10th anniversary of Team Motorolla (what eventually became USP/Discovery) rider Fabio Casartelli's death. I can just about remember this happening (I was about 11 at the time), and it's still hard to imagine a cyclist dying during something as organised as le tour.

The BBC have an excellent article about the events, and how the entire peloton banded together.

A sad day indeed :(
