At the end of the day its a good idea but wouldn't be necessary if the last lot hadn't pissed our money up the wall.

I am sure if you come forward later on and claim one of the accounts that has been deemed to be dormant then you will still be able to claim your money, there is little point in having it just sitting there making even more money for the banks though.
