Really enjoyed it. Adult-rated Dr. Who. Great stuff for a dull Tuesday night in

Just finished watching it and I was mildly surprised for a spin off. But then again, I kinda like the character of Captain Harkness in Dr. Who. Didn't expect it to be quite so adult and graphic though.

I saw it on sunday, I wasn't overly impressed.
I think it has potential, and I love the driving around like FBI in a black car, thats cool. however I thought the sex-alien was a very poor plot line for the 2nd episode. One one have thought that they'd put their best stories out in the first few episodes to get people hooked. imo the 2nd episode was crude and poor.

You gotta take it with a pinch of salt. Its tongue in cheek. Its not meant to be a mega serious attempt at hard core sci fi and with that in mind I really enjoyed it.

Oh and in case I haven't mentioned it, the lesbo scene was great

I thought Torchwood was ok, better than doctor who, but I only watched the first episode.

I come from Cardiff and it's weird seeing so many places I know on the TV. I am probably more forgiving than I might usually be because of it.

I loved it - thought it was really good. Also nice to see Cardiff and Wales getting a bit of exposure as so much of this TV is England based.

lol sorry i missed this thread when it came out so want to just say a few bits.

loved the 1st 2 and am looking foward to the next one tonight, anyone else almost choke when the bouncer was knocking one out while watching the couple boffing in the loo's saying "go on son, with you all the way" i almost swallowed me fag!

and it has all major elements of a sci fi nerd cult classic
1) lesbian aaand man2man snogging scene
2) kick arse guns
3) cute asian chick
4) its dr who related people!!

oh yeah and
5) Captain Jack!!!

well what can i say... was a bit miffed thought lol when i heard that they were making torchwood and it would be shown on bbc3 earlier this year 1st thing i did was run out and buy a digital box to watch it on, sunday night i was all ready with my giant foam hand and beer hat and no signal!

i swear the sodding tv knows what programmes i want to watch and either flids out 5 mins before show starts and dies or it lets me watch some of it then flids out at a good bit causing me to cuss loudly and throw body parts at the tv.
