Yaaay its back!

(but only for the week...boo) but still, after last nights episode yaaay its lookin good! I always thought kids were a bit creepy, or at least had the potential to be creepy but wouldn't it be cool to pay a bunch of kids to do that in the street and freak out all the grown ups? hehehe

Anyway if you missed the episode there is probably one available on bbc iplayer, hope the rest of the week is as good as last nights!

on a similar note, did anyone else hear that supposedly they are not going to make another series of Primeval...how gutted was I?? I thought the new series was taking some cool new plot turns, hopefully they will revise their plans though or I'll set the guinea pigs on them!!

chuch?? wtf is chuch?? i meant chuck pfft nerf spelling.

AS USUAL CAN'T REMEMBER HOW TO DO SPOILERS SO DON'T SCROLL DOWN IF YU DIDN'T SEE IT YET!!

Anyway what did you think of the series? I thought it was really great, liked the whole 1ep per day thing but it didn't really leave much in the way of hope for a new series...or so I thught until B2 said that they might do a torchwood...the beginning and have victorian captain jack etc, which wuld be cool but he's off in space now so we may also have intergalactic doings.

Hope so because I really like his character and it'd be good if they let him go back to how he was before he got all serious, remember in Dr Who he was quite carefree and glib.

Aside from that though the general storyline gave me the right heebie jeebies which is always a good sign; well done all round imo.

Captian Jack's character development is quite scary though isn't it

the way he sacrificed his own grandson for the greater good, and the fact that he originally was the one who gave the 12 children away in the first place

Completely agree... I found what they did with him distressing and how
they destroyed his personal life completely hence my tears in the last two episodes

First three episodes were great. Last two pretty bad imo. Ending way to short, didnt really get a feel for how they got rid of the 456 etc. Overall pretty dissapointed with it. Givf Doctor Who.

i think they done right with his character, remember he is the face of bo, he was wise, and i think making Jack more serious shows how he was going to become bo

ME AGAIN...REMEMBER I'M LAME AND CAN'T RECALL HOW TO MAKE A SPOILER SO SCROLL DOWN:

I agree the last episode was definately way too short for such a storyline, and yes I found the character development of Jack very disturbing and had to think myself would/could I do it? but when B2 said "no effing way if it was my own" all I could think was how I don't think I could choose one child over another (unless there was a blatantly evil one...you know the type that nails cats to trees and spits in peoples drinks when they arn't looking) so if you gotta choose one you just take the nearest, I could totally unerstand that.

Glad I wasn't the only one who filled up Yoni, it gave me a severe lump in throat when Ianto died...was the same with Owen and Tosh tbh and any show that can make you care so much about the chars... well imo Davis is just a genius tbh, he really has a brilliant brain.

Thought the creature "FX" was really lame. It looked as if they hadn't moved on from the paper mache Blue Peter jobs from the 70s. The acting was truly awful (apart from the old mental bloke), the storyline was ok, and Russell Davies obviously done his best with the budget, but it actually LOOKED like it had been put together on a shoe-string budget, hastily edited, and rolled out as quick as possible. Can't understand how you could get emotional at the awful acting, but there you go.

On the whole the story was good. Typical Dr Who/Torchwood plot with lots of build and a simple and quick ending. Under the circumstances Capt. Jack had no choice, saving hundreds of thousands of kids by using his own grandchild was a no brainer. Sad, but the logical thing to do.

What's more sad is that it is the last Torchwood :(
