Lo,

I finally got a copy of CS yesterday and I have to sya that from I played, I'm impressed. After playing Quake for so many years this is a nice alternative.
One thing that troubled me tho was when I was on the server I was asking for some newbie tips and one fella suggested I play it like quake. Surely this cant be so. I thought the whole idea behind the game was to use some tatctics and establish a hold on the map? Consequently winning the game?

Been through SAS's guides which have helped loads and I'm gunna spend the day tweakin some. If anyone can direct me to some sites that have scripts for gamma adjustment then that would be coolaid

In SAS's guide the tweak sites listed are a tad out of date.

THe only one worth visiting is the Uc connetion guide.

I just rarely play under the name GrannY cos I get fed up fast of being hassled... "put gravity off!" "change teh map!" "he's che4t0ring!!" etc

Not seen you before, but then again due to the vast amounts of beer i consume each weekend my memory is only limited to 2 weeks maximum.

I have been trying to find a decent stats page. I used to have a website in my favourites that gave you a ranking every week along with amount of time played each week and frags per minute.

I want to see how much worse i am, now that i'm an hpb. I know my scores aren't as high as they used to be

I remember seeing people averaging 3+ frags per minute every week. How the hell do they do that?? On a 30 minute server that means averaging 90+ frags per game. I think the highest i have seen on a game is 70.

Ch3tan is the only guy I have seen online in CS - and that wasnt even in the BW server.

Dont usually play on BW for 2 reasons :

1. Cant get in.
2. Play on hpb only server.

I did get on yesterday morning and it was quite a refreshing change to get pings of ~170 in stead of 270. Played not bad either against a pile of lpb's

But lets not get into that.
