With the Fifth British terror suspect named I have to agree with some of the groups that say the UK is too much of a soft touch when it comes to groups of people who have relations with terrorists....perhaps it's time to get tough.

I would also not like to see them come back to this country for sentencing or to serve there prison time, keep em in America.

Nuclear weapons aren't very environmentally friendly. Perhaps burning them alive would be far easier?

Where is the line to be drawn however? If you're a fanatical doing the work of God that believes he'll go to heaven or whatever their religion dictates, terrorism isn't a taboo line to cross.

and all the ash esp with the beards nah that aint good or environmentally friendly but just send them to the artic to do work, the same as in the russian gulags, 4 months of work and then well hmmmm gosh are they dead already and they didn't finish there work load

Why do these people always get a message from God that says kill everyone? Why dont they ever get messages that say "help small children and animals" or "clean your teeth for once you scummy bastard".

They could be help-small-children-and-animals fundamentalists.

The Daily/Sunday Mirror is really annoying me in it's reporting of the Cuban prison camp. It called it the toughest prison in the world. Utter dogs-cock. Try going in to prison in 50% of the countries in the world and the US-run Cuban prison would seem like a beech holiday.

They're trying to stir up anti-US feelings again because the paper is run by a bunch of old Trots who are still angry that America won the cold war and proved that their beloved Communism was bollocks :D

As per usual, I haven't read all the replies to this thread in depth but...

The media, particularly print, are actually saying that the British prisoners have been wrongly accused and being kept in poor conditions. Now, this discourse has only been taken through the past few weeks but it's starting to toodle my woodle. Yes ok, they're British and they wore American clothes, yes? The families of these terrorists are actually saying because they had branded U.S.A/NY clothes they were not supporting terrorism? Donkeys.

If they had seen any British soldier/civilian in Afghanistan and they had a half decent gun, they would have no hesitation in killing them. They didn't leave this country and go to Afghanistan for a holiday with the lads and a night on the tiles/sand.

They should be dealt with in exactly the same way as everyone else, imo.

I find it extremely irritating when, after all that's happened, people in the UK and other western countries see fit to "speak out" against the treatment of the prisoners in Cuba.

They may be treated like caged animals, but that's what they are. They gave up any rights to be treated like human beings on 11th september.

I simply cannot believe that human rights 'do-gooders' can seek to defend such scum after they've shown what they are capable of.

I guess the real problem is that the ones who aren't sentenced to death will be back to their old tricks the day they are released. Except, this time, they'll be even more determined because the US has had them locked up for a few years.

The cost of housing, and trialing these prisoners is too great anyway. The only money we should be spending on them is buying each one a bullet. Which we can fire out of a gun at 800m/s and watch as the bullet cracks through their skull and buries itself deep in their brains.

Well I might not go that far Ex0r :)

My main point is that the prison is actually pretty tame compared to many throughout the world. Certainly better than an Afghan prison under the Taliban. Try going to a South African prison and having your batty being traded for ciggies by the 26ers who run you as one of their bitches.

Bring back the death pentaly, put the delluded scum out of our lives by culling the whole fucking lot of them.

We have this funny custom in this country (and the US), where you're presumed innocent, and the state has to prove you are guilty. If these people are guilty, then they deserve whatever they get. Until then however, I think all you armchair warriors/executioners should take your head out of your arses.

Demanding summary justice is not a way of defeating terrorism, it merely proves that the terrorists have won.

true and a good point SoWat but and i know its lawyer mumbo jumbo, that rule doesn't really aply for these people. There status is not clear are they POW or criminals also a general rule is that if you fight for another country you loose your nationality (see spanish civil war) Also lets not forget where they are the normal criminal codes do not aply there

Never said it was but then again this isn't any oridinary situation.

As stated it is worrying that so many have been found to come from the UK.
