Tonights RvR performance from certain hibs.

What is the fascination for moving round in zergs all the time?

Tonight there was no alb zerg in emain, just one and aoocasionally 2 fg running round - yet the CG was full of people demanding a zerg to beat them - yes we do need it when there are 40+ albs ina group, but if you get owned in 8 v 8 or 8 v 16 combat against albs, you admit they played better than you on the night, you don't demand 4fg of hibs come and protect you.

If people keep that up there will be no RvR apart from zergs, we will be as bad as albs, and will end up losing constantly as they will always be able to bring a bigger horde.

And do try and communicate a bit better, if there is one fg of albs don't say albs zerging ( and no mention of where) say 1fg albs in crim valley.

I know it's unusual to see a small amount of albs, but it's not unheard of yet, it will be if you think you need to outnumber them 4 to 1 to win - it's been proven time and again that that is not the case - if you lose, work out why and don't do it again.

I for one do not want to see hibernia turning into Albion Mk II rather than using skill and tactics.

There are times when it's necessary, but most of the time it's not, and we can't beat them at their own game all the time.

All I can say is that this is the first time I have seen this, and I hope it's the last - don't make what the alb whiners say come true, please ...

I'd like to note that we didn't actually zerg them , cos most people were too sensible and realised there was no need for it.

After that mass LDs started happening, so I logged off - my lag meter was red pretty much constantly.

All 3 Realms zerg, I wish people would just grow up and admit it rather then point the finger. Its sad but true and maybe some realms do do it more then others, but no realm here can hand-on-heart say they have never used a zerg to win.

Problem is the emain lay out is simply built for ideal zerg situration, this is why I prefer odins these days.

By the way Armolas, do you still go around Snowdonia ? I still owe you one from when you killed my little group there when I was in the 30ies

I got beaten by zerg 6-7 times tonight - yet i refuse to take part in zergs if i can..

My group just skirmish around instead, and try avoiding the zerg. Don't get maf if Hibs groups go to emain as 1 group - we are some that like being 1fg and nothing else, avoiding the zerg is part of the fun.

Hate being zerged or be the zerger...

I must say i see a lot solo alb groups running around and then again hibs always seem to move in at LEAST 2-3 FGs. Dont really understand this "albs only zerg" attitude as hibs are by far the worst "zerg" realm there is atm. Havent got a clue how to translate the dutch phrase: De pot verwijt de ketel

Pot calling the kettle black is the translation...all realms zerg, all realms have solo groups...depending on the circumstances I do both. People will allways find excuses for losing, zerg is an easy excuse.

The same can be said depending on nights of every realms.

soem times we had very fun fights with albs FG, then the next day you can't meet them in less than 2 FG. If they're group just has been zergued 3 times in a row guess that's understandable.

As for the post saying no win with honor in zerg that triggered K9 response "it's a game", replace honor with fun, and you'll see that even if it's a game I much prefer group skirmishes than zergs.

eh? we have First Cohort with Konah etc , GoL with Outlaw and BF with Hatjitjai who always move in group away from zerg.
Only other Albs move in 'zerg' and sometimes those 3 join us.

Only decent Hib group I ever see solo is the 'Eleasias' group.
all other groups are just "let's-stay-away-from-amg-groups" that try to imitate Eleasias-group
hoping to find some albs without speed that run after th3 z3rg T_T

Elesias was just keeled by Outlaw a few times recently

Many peps done get that uber grp who can take down a flg lvl 50 alb/midi grp. so to get some nice rp zerge is the only way.

But i ges as long as you peps get your rp you dont giva a dam abot the rest.

Eleasias getting in so much groups that it's hardly a description

However Elea is the only archer that "shines" after the stealth nerf, he just took on grouping now (well being a stealther still allows him to get a few rps solo while his group comes back from ligen after a "near" wipe, huh Elea?).

And yes supreme 2 FG running around isn't a zerg, a zerg is bunch of disorganised people camping a wall or loosely stuck to one person. More people = less mobility anyway, 2 fg being the maximum that can run around fast wo turing RvR into an endless wait for ld/afk/out of speed members.

To get good rp you need a good grp, and that is not easy to find. So what do you do then.

its not good enuf to take down a lvl 50 grp of alb/midis. Get more flg and work together. As this game is made for.

erm how are we meant to kill about 5fgs of albs if we dont zerg? the only way to beat a zerg is to zerg.

Hmm...I think with DAoC you can only get players and crap players. You can't be a good mmorpg player as they require v little skill except not being an idiot basically.

Oh...add template and class to that.

They do, they just don't have as many peopls as albs. If Hibs get together 3fg it's a lot. Albs moving in 3-5 fgs is not an uncommon sight.

I must admit that since the RA patch more Hibs have started RvR'ing and so we can get a zerg together once in a while. Most common problem is still finding bards though : /

Still what most Hibs I know do in Emain is go with 1 fg and keep in touch with other fg's, so they can patrol on their own, but get help fast when it's needed. That means occasionally 3-4 fg's will be together. It would be really easy to stick together then and zerg from mmg -> amg and back all the time, but most peeps know what that leads to: kill invaders once, then prepare to camp amg a long while, then get overrun by a bigger zerg just when you think no invader's gonna come back. That's why I and most active RvR peeps I know prefer to move in 1-2 fg at most. It's faster moving and better fights that way.

Slightly off topic.....erhm, i have been in fg of level 50's which wasnt that good. It isnt always about the level u know...
