Today in malmo the list was back. uke:

it was back to soloing or hoping for some vanern/named svarts hunt teams. or RvR again. :sleeping:
Now alot of us have tried the so called US-STYLE.

I am shure ALL gained more exp from this, considering the extreme rate it was going when we had the right pullers.

I gained at lvl43 0.6 bubs and considering we all left to protect RELIC and got back that is not bad at all.

I therefore summon all able men and women of midgard, that are interesting in some good actionpacked exp.
Let your axe quensh its thirst in blood, not grow cob webs.

I am sick and tired of list, which seldom is followed anyways. and this was better and more fun.
if we all balanced out teams even the higl lvlrs would get good exp.

I will be there tomorrow 1700, i can lead it if noone else wants this small responsibility, however i would preffer a leader with good contacts with the larger guilds.

we will be fine with 30-40. Especial welcome classes in 37+ range preffered are THANES, and AE Disease/STUN dealers.

Also a nice wall of tanks would be nice.

Please all, try to do this often. get to malmo as soon as u can and feel for EXP and make it crowded, and the list at lair will die automatically.

however i repeat TOMORROW 1700 come and slay at lair

I'm afraid your wrong there mate, the xp gained in the US style pull was crap for quite a number of people when compared to how much you can get in a normal double group.

Maybe if the groups were balanced with enough AEers each, it might work... maybe...

It was fun though and I'm looking forward to further attempts.

Aye the xp was lower compared to what it used to be .. but we were 30-40 ppl getting xp and no waiting .. rather than 16 getting xp and 30 waiting in list... which is better?

The idea behind the pull wasnt all getting cap or near cap .. but to receive good xp in a fast rate .. but it seems ppl just want to sit on the hill .. oh well atleast i tried .. back to finding grps in vanern rauma .. but if someone decides to do another USpull ill be there.. but atm its not worth the wait

Most people measure such things by how much xp they get, so they'd prefer to be amongst 16 people getting great xp, rather than getting less xp themselves and allowing others a share.

Otherwise why not have 3 groups doing Draks, rather than 2, sure you would make less xp, but more people would be getting it...

Afterall, the US style pull is merely a much larger version of 2 groups doing draks, with some special tactics added (ae!).

Its the ae which is the key, its how the large amounts of xp would be made, if this could be sorted out you just might be able to get it to work

Well i am telling ya.

i made 1-1.1 bub an hour, sometimes the pulls were way to slow.
but at the end we were 30+ and we got 6-12mill per kill.
and that being maybe 12-14mobs coming, well u do the math.

And pulls constantly pulling.

The problem is that, people see oh YUK how awful 4-6mill exp or an occasional 12mill, yuk. they dont at the big picture, and the fact that the groups possibly werent quite right balanced.
And we were abit to many perhaps.

Today i was nr6. in a list again for 10hours then VANDGARD decided qo quit and took the list with him.

However hehe, it solved itself around 2300, a group were forming and i happened to cath it at an early stage.
So DING.

It is the problems above we get around alot by doing this.

This just need organizing the teams some. so thats AE dealers of right lvls get distributed amongst teams.
And if pullers were going for a steady flow.

I think we are to early to give up on this, since this is the way they do it on the US servers, it must be a alternative they preffer.

I am still hoping people will show up now, i will be there.
i hope krusha do me the honours of leading it if he is there.

There were magic in the air "literally" that night, and there was no PEEEing teamates or AFK2 min brb, no downtime, constant fun action.

well if its done constantly 24/7 on MLF .. i guess it works.. my mate tried to explain how we did over here and they thought that was just plain stupid, egocentric, Golf Club, amongst other words .

If you got a grp with no AE then youll get less xp, so there will still be some balancing to do, but i guess cap mentality will always prevail.

I like the Idea of doing the US-Styles as it will distribute xp to more players. If they are using this style on the US-servers it has to be a REASON, and I bet that it is because they can lvl more players at the same time. Constant pulls of 4-12mill is still more than ppl will get with soloing, because of the rate.

If we decide that this is the style we want to play in the Lair all ppl will know where to meet up. For those that want “uber-xp” there is still other places to grp, but if all pll do this...Lair will be empty L.

Were currently having this discussion on another board:

On weekdays when ppl have less time to play the rotation on the list is greater.. i find Malmo grps with a minimum of agony. BUT on weekends when ppl have 10+ hrs to spend in DAoC the pain of waiting is to much.

What if we combine the both and do like this:
Weekdays "Normal" Lair pulling.
Weekends: "US-Style" Lair pulling.

This way ppl playing weekends get optimum xp (if they think its low, or the wait is to long then theres always Vanern/raumarik)

Is this reasonable? Please comments so we can make something work other than that darn list

No one wanted to take over from me, I asked and all I got from them was that they didn't need a list as late as it was.

I got one last person from the list in to replace me, and that was as much as i could do.

I hope theres no hard feelings, it really was beyond my control.

I have gotten so used to it, it was once i got really pissed and it resulted in a flame´of another listkeeper.
