tome tactics

You need to do a whole bunch of tome unlocks before you can actually buy a tome tactic.

Besides tome tactics kind of suck and are strictly benefitial for PvE, which is kind of ironic since the game is supposed to be focused on RvR.

Since monday the Librarian you buy tactics from is disabled.

Afaik this was because he was bugged.
I hvae not heard of an ETA on when he will be back again.

I have a tome tactic too im waiting to get a chance to buy.

I think it takes 4-5 tactic unlocks to get the actual tactic. I have 5 for giant and its open for me.

how about the 3 tome tactic levels. can someone explain to me?
there are 3 levels of tome tactics, but how to unlock the diferent levels?
i did all the steps (unlocks) for one of the tome tatics, but on the tome of knoladge (cant spell this strange word) it says i only unlocked the 1st level. that will i need to do to unlock the other levels?

Hmm - by the looks of things, there are specific tasks to do in order to unlock them.

ie kill 25 of X mob, then complete Y quest, then kill 100 of X mob again and so forth.

The tactics are nice in their own way, such coming closer to a mob by 50% and less dmg from that mob but still meeeh

Currently I've come across three tactics, two of them involved killing a unique mob while the other I needed to click on a banner.

Some of the tome tactics are actually useable in RvR when fighting guards, kings etc etc. The ones that gives damage mitigation or extra damage against humans, orcs, elves etc mobs. You will not gain any benefit from those when fighting other players though.

And here is one tome tactic I found: There is a family of four or five named undeads (same family name) somehere in Chaos tier 4. I think you even get a quest to kill one of them. If you kill them all you will be able to buy a tactic for 5% extra damage against undead mobs.
