Tomb Raider (2013) ... Ahem

I want to punch myself in the face for posting this but I actually paid money for this game. I've never like the TR series (with the exception of the very first instalment)...

However - this game is seriously good fun. Violent, decentish story, good characters (and lots of them) and excellent combat (including the fucking awesome Longbow which I choose over a gun everytime). There is something very satisfying about headshotting someone with an arrow Daryl style from a 100m away. That and the action sequences never get too repetitive. I rarely feel like 'action sequence 4; YXXBUPDOWNSHOOT'.

I love 3rd person action adverntures anyway, but this is a massive improvement over the last 400 shitty instalments.

Yeah it's been getting really solid reviews, although it looks a bit like Tomb Raider: Arkham Asylum Edition
I'm planning on picking it up when it's on a steam sale at some point.

its good but the first hour is too much cut scene imo .. im now 4 hours into it and now theres more searching and finding areas and items

Agreed, I nearly gave up after the first hour. Even when the cut scenes are over the forest exploration was seriously dull.

Ditto £19.99 from Amazon was too good to turn down. It is a brilliant game and easily the best money I have spent on a game since Mass Effect 3.

Ok, I know I am very late to the party on this, but I just finished this last night. I'm not the best at multi button fight scenarios, but the last screen with the big boss took me hours, until I finally got good enough to defeat him.

which one ? most recent by all accounts is a big of wank, other than that its just lowest mental level button mash, PC ports are mostly shit aswell, and its UbiWank which is enough reason in itself to avoid.
