I am running on a fx 5200, with 1 gb ddr ram and win xp, and an AMD processor, and it's working fine, I can even run 2 toa accounts on this comp and it runs fairly smooth.

The 256 meg will come in handy, however, when the FX5200 hit the shops, it didnt get a good rating apose to some of the other cards.

I would spend abit more and get the FX5700, i think there about £130 in some places.

Here check this out:

Asus GF FX5700 V9570/256/TD 256MB DDR 8x AGP +DVI +TV-out Retail £120.44

http://www.microdirect.co.uk/ProductInfo.aspx?ProductID=5341&GroupID=27

Asus GF FX5600 V9560XTTD 128MB DDR400 8x AGP +DVI +TV-out Retail £86.36

http://www.microdirect.co.uk/ProductInfo.aspx?ProductID=5184&GroupID=27

Me i would go for the 5700, as its has some features, what would benefit some of the up and coming games.

I'm running a Hyperthreading p4 2.4ghz processor @ 2.6 (no need to strain it!) with 1 gb of PC 3200 DDR duel channel ram (Effective FSB of 800mhz). Windows XP Pro SP1, DirectX 9.0b, nvidia 56.66 drivers.

Graphics card in the box is a Geforce FX 5600 Ultra with 256mb of ram. And it's utter pants. ToA water at best is choppy, and almost painful when steering a boat. Classic Camelot water is just about bearable, with many other gfx settings turned off - including ToA terrain textures.

If you really absolutely must buy Nvidia, but nothing less than a 5900. If you can't afford those bucks, I would highly recommend an ATI of one flavour or another. ATIs might have driver issues, but at least the hardware can actually run the game :twak:

I have in the past worked for an Nvidia builder, and am not afraid to admit that I wish I had never purchased this piece of garbage.

Im running on a 2.4GHz P4, 512Mb PC2700 DDR ram Dual Channel (need to double this but cba atm), DX 9.0b, WinXP Pro SP1.

My graphics card is a ATi 9600 128Mb (running with default clocks too) with newest DNA modified Catalysts, no gfx glitches or driver problems so far with daoc. Only gfx glitches i've noticed so far were with Far Cry sp demo.
Running ToA with all effects on, everything looks pretty specially with 4x FSAA and 4x AA. Playing with 1024x768 @85Hz resolution but thats due to a old/small monitor :p
