Just checked my order status for ToA and noticed the following:

Dispatch estimate: Feb 29, 2004
Delivery estimate: Mar 1, 2004 - Mar 2, 2004

Anyone else got this timescale? If they have then I think I'll cancel and get it from Game...

Bah, amazon.co.uk seems to have died a death this morning. probably all the TOA orders being cancelled. When i put in my order the other day it was the second highest selling game...

Got Si from Amazon last year on morning of patch day. But I've noticed that Amazon's delivery times have got really bad in last 6 months or so and they no longer seem to ensure new games arrive with you for release day. Have moved my order to gameplay.com cos they are a little cheaper than Game and do post for release day.

WH Smiths, and Woolies had SI on the shelves on the Wednesday last time.
I spent so long phoning GAME and getting them to tell my local store to release it, they were closed by the time i got there
I've ordered from Play, but im not holding my breath. I'll be going to WHSmiths this Wednesday.
I cant understand why the publisher has stated the 27th. Piss poor marketing (Wanadoo?). I'd rather have the game and be waiting to play it, than not having the game and be waiting to play it.

I'm going to check the shops on release day. I phoned my local GAME and they said if thats the day its out, then thats the day they'll have it instore. I hope the bloke knows what he is on about...consider no shops sell daoc or SI anymore.

which will be on tuesday(today) so hello toa on wednesday

same happened last year and i got mine on tuesday last year lol

How do you know amazon recieve it from the suppliers today?

My WHsmith and bother woolies by me will not sell DAoC..they don't even sell PC games. And game will sell it on friday.. but I'll try and get it tomorrow.

if we all do it im sure they'll tell their stores to sell copies to anyone who wants it on wed - it's in their interest because then everyone will buy it from game stores rather than anywhere else....

Diddn't something like that happen last year? we had more clout then though on barrysworld forums because they were owned/linked with game.

i swear we had something where DBs contacted game and used his influence to get them to sell it on wed.... (si this is..)

Won't get it on the 27th. This will be the earliest play themselves get hold of it and then they have to ship into the country from Jersey (or wherever they are based) which normally takes 3+ working days, sometimes 5 or more.

I ordered SI from play when it came out and it didn't turn up till a week after release date.

I love play for their cheapness though.

I noticed the delivery date last week so I immediatly cancelled the order and went elsewhere.

Nice price but that kind of service sucks. If you don't mind waiting, enjoy the cheap game, if your to impatient to wait, like me, shop somewhere else.

There're four "Game" stores where I live. Last year only one was selling SI early, while the other three said they were waiting until Friday. It's strange, but phone around and you might find one willing to sell tomorrow.

Yep mine said the same yesterday I gave them till today to come up with something that sounded better than that,and it hasn't changed so I cancelled as well.
At the least I know I can buy it on Friday in game.I have just got back from town were I have been going round the game stores trying to get someone to sell me a copy tomorrow,but it's a lost cause I'm afraid.
I couldn't even get them to confirm they had it in for release on Friday,so here's hopping.

also if come tomorrow your local game won't sell you a copy try phoning their hq to actually talk to someone about it. This worked last year we just need enough people.

Well as I said I don't think they even had the game in stock(they said next couple of days)though he didn't actually go and look for it,but it may be worth trying their HQ.
