Will you stop hiding in trees please, as far as I know, its a bug in the game, and a way to cheat, now I'm sure you don't want to cheat, so please stop it.

This person likes exploiting bugs, was somehow hiding in the bridge earlier, seen them in various trees... matter of time before they're reported.

i'll admit thats not a bug, but i think last friday he managed about 15 rez kills in a night, just a rough number

Why not just report him for using bugs, and yes rezz killing is not bug just a pain in the ass.

You see someone exploiting a bug, tell them they are, they might not know it.
You see them do it again, report them and let them sit and weep infront of their suspended/banned account.
No silkgloves with cheaters, they have done nothing to deserve it.

Cant be much fairer than that, if Slyvan doesnt know its a cheat then ok, but if he / she reads this forum, now they do.

Nope you can't tell him/her that in-game, so report it.

My statement goes regarding realmmates as well though, you (meaning ALL people, not just you toxx ) shouldn't look the other way because of that.

Soz, im totaly new to bg and realm fighting... so let me know if i'm wrong...


im totaly confused as to why peeps say i hide IN trees, i just go behind 'em

i see non-stealthers trying to hide behind trees all the time - so i destealth behind em... not too sure if thats what you call a bug (i been cut down enough times by non-stealthers that spring out from behind a perfectly innocent looking birch)

i thought it was called guerrilla warfare

just because i destealth after my initial attack doesn't mean i have to jump out infront of you and wave my arms about, shouting "I'm here, I'm here!"
i like to stay amongst the things that make me hard to see (namely trees, undergrowth and vegitation, also staying close to things like rocks, or climbing on high things, so im hard to get to AND you have to stop and think, hmm, perhaps i should look UP)



hiding IN a bridge?? surely not! i just position myself so as you run close to me, your looking the other way (hopefully), an shoot at you as you run away from me - that's a bug??

im sure hiding and moving BEHIND a target isnt a bug, so is hiding INFRONT of a target and waiting for them to pass?? i wouldnt say so

i see people climbing the small walls on the bridges all the time, but never do i stop and think, hmm he's a damn cheater - cause he can still be hurt by swords, spells, arrows, pets an everything else. if he can stay outta sight, he's a clever man



TIP: don't go swimming if there's an archer about, his arrows can fly faster than you can swim



as about that rez killing, i dont know who's just been rezzed, and who hasn't. it annoys me as much as you guys to risk my arse destealthing in the middle of nowhere, shooting money at a guy, only to find i get no rp's for the kill (its a waste of my precious ammunition, not to mention it must piss peeps right off)

i wish i could tell, i really do - i apologise if i kill you soon after you've been rezzed. i just go for the easy target, and if i see a guy sitting on his arse, almost dead, i take a shot. i dont know if he's just been rezzed or if he's just been in a fight with one of my fellow hibs.

if there IS a way of telling, please please let me know!!

there are MANY MANY ways of combating MY tactics with a few tactics of your own - just stop and think about it - USE YOUR HEAD!

there are ACTUAL bugs that i know of that i try my hardest to aviod, like shooting dead bodies (it continues to do damage to the guys armour) - i've heard of casters exploiting this bug by continually casting pbaoes over corpses, just to damage thier armour, now THAT'S what i call exploiting a bug!

I'm not sure if your confused about dates/numbers/names, but i've only been on thid since sunday (when hib attempted a raid on albion's middle keep thingy at 7:30pm - i arrived at about 8:15pm (oops, soz about that lateness guys!)) - i have yet to join bg on a friday =)

like i said, im not sure how anyone can hide IN a bridge, but there are PLENTY of obsticals to hide BEHIND on the bridge walls, lets not forget hiding next to the bridge itself!

A bit off topic, but do Mythic/GOA publish a bug list?

I've done things that I've later found out are considered to be bug exploiting, but it was out of ignorance. When I find out, I stop doing it, plain and simple.

I usually read the readme's when a new patch comes out, but if memory serves me right they only state bugs that have been fixed and not ongoing/new ones.

im 99% sure u were around on friday, and carn can back me up on that.
I'll give u the benefit of the doubt and take ur word for it.

As for rez killing, i have seen and heard people complain about being killed literally after being rez'd. i myself was almost rez killed by u about 10 seconds after i was rez'd, but didnt die due to BT.

As for exploiting bugs, hiding in trees etc, i can honestly say nobody ever spots u when your shooting them, apart from the odd moment where u are in the open, and often get battered

You might have some insanly good tactics, and be one of the most cunning rangers in hiberia, im not sure, but all i know is if i get shot by u, quite often im 99% sure i cant see you.

As for being a luri and hiding in the water where nobody can see u, im not sure if thats been declared a bug, or a nasty glitch someone needs to look at, but ive seen u pop off a fair few shots from the water near mb.

Anyway, thanks for explaining yourself, seems you've brought up a fair few comments that have made me changed some of my opinions

And im sorry for /laugh spamming u when i kill u, its just so damn satisfying thats a subtle complement btw

there are ways around archers.
best way generally is /face and run towards them. hopefully you will get into range to see them and can send mr stealther to waste them and mr healer to rez you....

sometimes i actually manage to get in combat with the archers

Seriously though, nice of you to come on Syl and try to clear things up. I have seen people using bows from inside trees before, you can see their bow sticking out of the tree slightly, still, if you say you weren't, fair enough. Yes, you do use good tactics, I know I would if I was an Archer, mainly due to their stealth not being as good as Assassins, terrain is always useful for Archers, but so is being a shortarse too.

Well, that isn't strictly true, you can stay in Thid after you hit the cap, so long as you 1, don't die () or 2, if you do die, get a rez. If you die and have to release after you cap, THEN you can't come back, same applies if you hit 25 in Thid too, like same firby druid (I think)did last week. Of course, if you hit 25 in thid, you'll be enemy number 1, like said Firby was, although he died a fair bit that night, I think it took the combined effort of both Mids and Albs to finally see him out of there, and no, they weren't teaming up, cos after I killed said Firby along with a couple of SBs, the lil buggers turned on me.

Now Sylvan's levelled it's hardly an issue anyhow...

but... I was stood next to her, with my little stealther about two nights ago, whilst she hid by a tree, and picked her targets very well. She took down about 4, whilst I just sat their twiddling my thumbs, until one smart dwarf obviously chose to /face and moved in on us with one of his little buddies, ending the fun.

She most definitely wasn't in a tree, as it was a solid tree type [there are ones that aren't solid, but I've not really seen them in BG, only in pve, where they're no use whatsoever], but was just using darn good tactics, very well chosen armour colouring, and the confusion of melee away from her shooting spot, to capitalise on the killing.

I guess a little luri who chooses to face a tree whilst they wait for the chance to restealth might look as though they're trying to burrow into the trunk, but in this case it's just making the best use of the terrain.

Those evil dwarves still found us /snarls....

I swear this lurikeen was in a tree, unluckily for said lurikeen I was using autotarget. It was definitly hiding in a tree though, just outside mid pk, as it was mostly hidden, with maybe an odd arm sticking out once it destealthed to take potshots at my group. And as for the bridge... I looked in all directions and couldn't see you Sylvan, so you were either in the bridge or shooting through the bridge - either way I escaped thanks to good ol' heal chant. But I doubt that many people (and there are a lot that think you use bugs, such as inside trees) are wrong... wish I took a screenshot now, lurikeens die too quickly

Despite reaching level 25 and have 350 rp's from the bg's, I still haven't spent any points in Blades, Piercing, Recurve Bow or Celtic Dual...

So a special AWWWW to all you guys an gals who got your bottoms spanked by a gimpy little luri
