To snip or not to snip?

Since the forum seems a bit sex crazed at the moment......

Me and Mrs Wilier are happy. We have 2 beautiful daughters. We have 10yrs of lurve behind us, and I cant see me wanting to kanoodle wit no other biatch, certainly never to want to spawn again.

So, do I get the snip? It would certainly save a lot of messing about, but Im worried about the pain, and the itching afterwards.

Anyone had it, any horror stories, reasons why/why not etc.

I need input.

Personally I wouldn't dare; you can never tell what might happen if the future. My friend Richard was in the same position; his was married for 12 years with children, he got the snip but now he's divorsed and with a different woman. She left him btw. Not sure how he feels about it though...

Well, not from personal experience (as those who know how young am I will probably vouch for), but after four kids and the threat of "if you have another kid you risk your life" my parents (read: dad) did it. I think as far as security of your family goes it's a worthwhile op.

If you're family is how you say it is, go for it. Ignore the stuff about "but what if you get divorced!!!11111admin!!1", you sound like you've got security in your marriage, trust it

Im in a similar situation to you Willier, and if it was less drama I would have done it by now no worries.
If you're up for it I would do it , thats my advice.

I think its kinda nice that you are considering it i mean the snip whilst you you chaps seem a bit daunting both of the alternatives for us gurlies involves major surgary.

However if you are young i would leave it a while longer - although you say you dont want any more children at the moment there may come a time when you do - and although yours can be reversed there could be complications.

There is a nice little injection the wife can have every three months (I think) which can prevent pregnancy - wouldn't a solution like that be less drastic and more practical for the time being?

The snip is a bit of a crappy option, and most surgeons won't do the op on men under 36 unless they have 4 or more children. Can't the wives just go get a contraceptive implant, lasts for 5 yrs and doesn't really hurt at all. I got it after last baby and it's not caused any probs at all. It's gotta be a better option than going through surgery.

Tested and some women did get pregnant. I think they are in court now

Don't get the snip. Ask any surgeon how much they hate doing reversals. This is not a joke. Do not do it unless you are 50 and have 6+ kids. There are alternatives. Find one.

My lady has this and it's been great really. No complications, no periods, no moods (no more than normal anyway) and no babies.

A guy I know had the snip - I saw him two weeks ago and he said it had gone wrong. I asked how'd he know. He said his wife was 2 months pregnant. Apparently it "grew" back which is quite common and even more so if you are quite young (of course she may have just shagged the milkman)

Oh and my cousin had it done and got an infection. His right bollock swelled up so much National Geographic came and took a picture.

Chap I worked with had it done, I think he said it was a birthday present from his wife! Anyway, he told us that sex 'didn't feel the same' afterwards. Not quite sure what he meant, we didn't like to ask for more details.

I had it done when I was 30 and apart from a little discomfort afterwards its worked out fine. Turning up with the "samples" afterwards was more weird.

Just be sure that its what you want to do as reversal is not very successful.
