To s-ata-150 or not ?

well i need some extra drive space,

scsi is out of the question since my thrusty aha-2940 is a bit on the slow stide and scsi disks are expensive.

Now i am in torn between getting a sata150 controler or an ide-raid controler

Anyone got any expiriance with s-ata-150.




Any solution should be bootable, and work under win xp pro, linux, and prefrably freebsd

auw just found the price on these bad boys, € 360 is a bit much

think i am gonne go for a promise sata controler and a 80GB maxtor

I've had one. They're terribly overrated imo. save yourself and get the raidcard

SATA isn't really worth it atm....not until higher speeds arrive.
