If you faced properly they can run what they want but it wont work :m00:

So you either suck or wajn to much.

i don't agree with the run through argument, at least that takes a bit of skill where you run through strafe left or right turn around hit run twist, but /face /stick wow that is so skillfull and if your really uber you can use /assist<name> macros also ffs " stand still while i press /face moc and spam teh 1 button"

The majority of the people who are jeering here should really shut the FUCK up. Even if I would never post about it outright (except make pointed remarks in threads relating to the people that annoyed me -- right, Xarr? ;)), I, as an often solo caster, can very much relate to Adrianicus. The run-through exploit is just that, an exploit of game mechanics for minimizing lag, and abusing it is lame, regardless of what all of you are saying. In fact, I would recommend that all of you try playing a caster in RvR before you open your big mouths (not a PBAE caster where your facing doesn't matter).

There are some really rare gems to quote in this thread so far, let's have a look:

Ooh, Censi, the man who introduced the drag-window exploit to the Excalibur community, passing his professional judgement. Thanks.

maybe they wont if you stop zerg. mkay
Ahh, and here is Alderian again (who could have guessed?), popping up to make his standard comment. Try reading the next time and you will see that Adrianicus is S-O-L-O.

Well, well, if it isn't the No 1 nightshade on Excalibur -- incidentially, that's a lot of warders in epic armor you've pwned! Now, I suggest you acquire some experience of what you are talking about before opening your mouth next time -- if you had played a caster in RvR, you would know that /face:ing (even spamming /face, which is the usual recipe dictated by the know-it-all tanks, to overcome lag) does not help. /face is a client-side mechanism, and thus prone to lag, so even if your client is facing properly and the enemy is firmly in front of you on your screen, chances are that the server has a different opinion -- since we're talking point-blank range, all it takes is a minute discrepancy between where the client has your character facing and the actual location of the enemy for the enemy to not be in view when the spell goes off.

Best solution to fix this? Remove the field-of-view check on everything that is at point-blank range (less than 200-300 units maybe?), perhaps only when qc:ing and MoCing.

Doctor, we need a Reality Check here! For your information, playing a caster in RvR (and playing it well) is a lot more difficult than playing most other classes (with the exception of primary CC:ers). I see casters in your signature, but I guess you must suck at them, or not play them in RvR very much. Oh, and 1-button? Yes, because when you are in the position when you have to use MoC, you are in no position to run or do fancy things -- if you didn't know it, (most) casters can't cast while moving, and they get interrupted if you so much as look at them -- so the only solution is to debuff the enemy to nothing and hope that your nukes will outlast his swings.

My only comfort is that US casters say the run-through exploit is a lot less of a problem since the new bonuses to cast speed were put into effect -- casters simply cast too fast for these low-brow tanks/stealthers to be able to react. ;)

Bring it on.

there are ways to counter the running tru, ie by un-faceig, and faceing the enemy manually :p you will hit twice as many spells this way as you would w/o (ie 0% hits if you face and 50% if you do it manually)

aye Belomar, usually i dont post about things like this, especially in the rvr forum.

just found it amusing that they both jumped a solo caster and still felt the need to bug abuse.

i solo a fair bit when i can, and luckly its not a common occurence

those of you whinning about 1-button? do you realise how much it costs us casters to get moc and even then its not an instawin button

try playing a caster, solo, in rvr one day
