Been looking at ra's for my sm, and is MOC3 really worth it,
I mean you need RR5l9 to get:
Purge 2, Aug Dex2 and Moc3 only fot 75% dmg (Moc2 being 50%)
So is it really worth the cost of extra 15 rp? over passive abilities to boost youre base dmg/chance to crit

Was Aug Dex 2 the pre-req for MoC in Old Frontiers ?

If so, you don't need it, as there are no pre-req's any more (except for some that require level 40).

you don't need aug dex2(+) unless you want to cast fast.
you don't need aug acuity unless you want to nuke hard.

IMO:
MoC1 is for interrupters only (probably ignore unless you're a shammy)
MoC3 is for the rich - like Asty said you're losing 20-30% damage you could have had from passives... Was also nice on my Sorc while solo combined with the RR5 ability, but 350/nuke sucks.

MoC2 is just pointless.

I agree. I specced MoC2 and I hit for only 150 per nuke. Besides, I don't like to solo so I think I'll just rethink my RA spec. Will probably go passive.

MoC1 is perfect for buffshears or any other binary effect (cures, rez etc)

I dropped out MoC completely after NF. I might pick it up again after RR7-8. But for now I keep my cabalist filled with passives, purge2, augdex2, augacu2, rp2, mcl1 etc. :)

MoC1 would be a great addition to healers actually... if it doesent decrease heal points... basically u save a bunch of realm points with that.

It does decrease heals... MoC1 is 25%.... Large spec heals for ~200...

about 12% damage.
power depends on how much toa power% you have, but likely 60-80 for you.

(and geez... would cost you 5s and 2 mins to test it yourself... bloody pryd albs... so lazy and so cheap :p)

does MoC reduce durations for mezz spells? or its chance to land on atarget
With Moc up, duration of debuffs and CC are reduced.

Depends, from my point of view:
I got mocced on by moc1, I think, the dmg was 78 - having sureshot @ lvl 45 bow I was able to outdmg moc - doing bout 150 to 220 dmg a shot.
moc2 was bout 120 odd dmg was still able to out dmg.

So, imo, moc 2+ isnt worth the points unless you are a fairly high RR, ie rr6+

On a side point I have MoC2 on my mincer its cool, granted I haven't played NF much just beta and 2 days on full release because I had IRL stuff to occupy me, but omg its effective for mincers. As a mincer you get spotted more easily by other stealthers so the likelyhood in stealther fights you can get off a mezz for being meleed or shot with an arrow is slim. This means I wait to be shot hit MoC2 and mezz anything that has poped on me. MoC1 would not mezz them long enough to make a difference I tried it in beta MoC3 is just too many point. So if you are a mincer I'd consider getting MoC2.

I use MoC2 much like the old SoS, I used to SoS if i was jumped get out of danger and then come back with mezz, I hated to see SoS Nerfed but MoC2 is even better for this tactic as before you could be interrupted by casters and archers as they had ranged damage.

So in short try out MoC2 if you are a mincer who likes to solo or stealth.

Find moc3 a total waste in grp rvr. For solo rvr it rocks though :)

I think MoC1 on a shaman/bard etc will be the reason alot of casters will soon see the need for MOC3 :)

I took MOC3 on my druid btw :)

I think it wil increase your cap damage and the chance of doing that cap damage is affected by your specced skill + skill bonus, i could be wrong offcourse.
